Crackdown 2 Confirmed!
One of the biggest surprises for me during the Microsoft press conference was the announcement of Crackdown 2. If you’ve ready my 5 Sequels That Should Be Made article, then you’d know that a sequel to Crackdown was at the top of the list. The game is being developed by a group of former Realtime Worlds team members who formed a company called Ruffian Games.
Crackdown 2 will feature 2-4 players online co-op and 2-16 players online multiplayer. Those are the only details I know of right now. Watching the teaser trailer for it though, it seems like the city is being overrun by infected people. These infected people apparently turn into some kind of beasts.
I’m ready to “crack down” on whatever the infection is! I think I heard a Spring 2010 release date on this one. I’ll try to confirm.

This IP should die… I’m sure they’ll put a Halo Reach Beta in so the game actually sells well. lol

Awesome! Loved the first one. Great sandbox title and the second should be even better with expanded MP.

Yo, Crackdown is mad fun. It’s like an over-the-top GTA that is actually fun to play.. but a sequel, awesome. Don’t know about the whole infected people, I’m a bit tired of seeing zombie-themed games other than Left 4 Dead.
