1. If you live in an area with No DSL, Cable, or better connections:

a. use a cell phone connection over a satellite or a modified dial up, but use a USB-to-either-ethernet-or-wireless-N connector made specifically for cell phone air cards, like a Cradlepoint.

b. Tell people you are in such a situation,

c. Don’t play a more-than-two-player game against all strangers, a more than 4-player game with at least 1 person you know, or join a big party room, except if it’s all people who know your sitch.

d. If your joining the party causes mistransmission of your partymates, dump the party and leave a text message stating such.

2. If you have a customized controller made, make sure it only has a 1-to-1 function of a standard controller pad or off-the-shelf stick. No Rapid Fire, Combo Macros, or other cheat features. Right-handed Street Fighter joysticks are okay as long as the above rule is obeyed.
