sweet. My thoughts on the trailer and what the game could contain.

1. It'll be set in NYC but with a different name (obviously). Liberty comes to mind judging by the constant showcasing of the name in the trailer.
2. It may be Liberty City. GTA III was set in Liberty City but its entirely possible that it was only set in a small part of Liberty City and not the full location. (we were never told it was the full city)
3. It may be a state like San Andreas in which Liberty City features. (most likely).
4. KGB will almost definitely be involved considering the Russian main character.
5. Its set in the present.

I'd go for Russian Mafia rather than KGB, or maybe some other criminal organisation from one of the ex-Soviet states.

Terrorists are also a possibility maybe. Terrorism is on a lot of people's minds these days and they're becoming a mianstay in various games.

I wouldn't be surprised to see terrorism feature in the game to be honest.Russian Mafia is a givn considering the main character 'smuggled and killed people'.
And on that note, some folks think Sex trafficking will play a role due to the 'smuggle people' line.

It's okay. You just have a bad taste in video games.

Yeah, the game's coming to me straight from the land of Meh too.
Not unusual for me because it's another game coming from a long franchise and the franchise thing doesn't get me too excited these days.
The trailer was interesting and the graphics look decent but it'll still be just another GTA game, and GTA isn't alone in the genre anymore either.

One to keep an eye on, but not one I'm going to be drooling over unless there's some deeply radical game elements introduced.

I hope it's not Liberty City, I'd just rather them make up a city that way they have more freedom, but the city doesn't matter (even though I was in love with San Andreas(Cali). I'm kind of tired of the race thing, I never thought it was one until San Andreas when I was playing CJ, I was more into that one than any other GTA, why because the character appealed to me. That's why they should let you make them up, but if not hey....

I'm really looking for something to shut up the mouths of those that loved Saints Row so much they tried (key word) to put down GTA. I mean GTA had airplanes, motorcycles and bikes on ps2 and xbox, Saints Row has none of them. I think Rockstar needs to up the bar again

I rate it as effective as that Halo tease.

I am very happy it is both in present time, and in New York. Perfect choices.

I'm lovin' it too man. Ah, it's like San Andreas all over again. I love the excitement I get when a new Grand Theft Auto game comes out.

Yay, I get to kill illegal immigrants :)

Typical Rockstar teaser - shows you a few elements of the city and the main character with some lame "I hope for a new life" line - but I'll be damned if I didnt say I am psyched!

Perhaps this will be the only game I own two copies of (one for 360, one for PS3), for the DLC.

So I'm looking at my watch, and I think its slow - is it October 23rd yet? Yeah, they say October 16 but speaking on behalf of previous GTAs, it will be delayed one week.

i hated San Andreas...

It kinda grew on me. I didn't like the gangbanger theme at first but it got better.

I still like Vice City best.

SA and GTA 3 are my favorite GTA's. I love that the game is set in present time and in cool megapolis. And I love that the main charater is russian

I loved all 6 so far.

Vice City had the best cast of characters of them all.

I can't wait to play IV, and I'm loving the fact that he's a Russian dude. I love the Mafia theme it has going for it.

IMHO, the series has dipped since III...hope they can really run with this title. Can't wait to see what they are bringing to the table.
