I still say this is just a passing fancy. It will die down in a few years.

Yeah they do, it's the current fad. lol
I liked K1, which is older and more established yet was not driven as hard by WWF-style promoters and thus did not come to the forefront.

Fad? Not hardly, it the new big sport. It's taken a while for mainstream society to really start understanding what it's all about, but they're slowly coming around. It isn't going anywhere by a longshot.

True, but that's not the reason it was sold. Pride on FSN was a way to get US fans introduced to their promotion, but the bulk of their money was made overseas. Pride lost it's TV contract in Japan which was a MAJOR source of revenue. They had a lot of ongoing financial issues for the better part of the year. Eventually they decided to sell to the Fertitas (Owner's of UFC). They're going to continue to be ran as two seperate entities, but their will be a lot of cross promotional fights which will be great for all MMA fans.

The MMA fights are just now being allowed in a lot of states where it was banned for so long. And the fact that its just here recently being televised on mainstream tv shows its major growth. The UFC is even in talks with HBO to get some shows on there also. Thats part of the reason why Jim Lampley complains about it so much. He is worried it will take over boxing. Which I also love but is suffering badly. The UFC will continue to grow and get better especially now since they own Pride, WEC and other smaller MMA companies. The Ultimate Fighter is already filming the newest season of that show and have many more planned.

i'm enjoying WEC telecasts a great deal. I think they're doing a good job trying to build them up. Brock Larson and Urijah Faber have looked phenomenal. between UFC, WEC, IFL, Pride, Bodog, King of the Cage, etc... I'm in MMA heaven right now.

LOL yeah man, Razor Rob is a freaking beast. Kit Kope needs to stick to K-1 in my opinion he isn't versatile enough to fight MMA. He is an excellent kickboxer though.

I've never been much on Kit Kope. I don't really like how he fights or as a personality lol. McCollough is a beast for sure. I look forward to his next fight.

Bodog is just another fight league going on , I think it primarily in Russia to be honest it sucks...they would get owned in...UFC, Pride, and WEC.
