Major Nelson: "Our customers deserve better"
Microsoft respond to ‘social engineering’ problem
Microsoft’s Xbox Live guru Major Nelson has apologised to Xbox 360 owners after a security researcher uncovered failings in the company’s customer support line.
Well, it looks like Microsoft is pushing their fans away... With the known crappy 360 realibility/Extra DLC FEEs/Unfinished games, and now lack of security. I'm not a happy 360 owner.

This is the downside to frequenting multiple forums, I was sure I'd posted that here
The good news is that the acknowledged the issue, I am a little pissed they didn't spill the beans earlier and stop the internet from going crazy with LIVE HACKED! stuff everywhere.

Like I said a week ago...
Step 1: Deny the problem
Step 2: Say the problem only effects a few (or blame the user)
Step 3: Admit the problem, praise themselves for fixing it

From the tiny bit I saw on this, since I didn't follow it at all, it sounded like some Halo 2 clan nerds went after a specific few people who had gotten them banned. I am hardly concerned over security.

Apathy. If it doesn't happen to you, you don't care.
I may have been the same way before I was one of the people bricked by the fall update.

Microsoft has been doing that for YEARS with their PC software, why would the gaming market be treated any different?!!!
