This game looks pretty cool.

Wellington, New Zealand – 23 March, 2007 – Sony Online Entertainment and Sidhe Interactive today announced the availability of their New Zealand developed videogame, GripShift®, for the Australasian and European launches of the PLAYSTATION®3. GripShift is a re-mix of the award-winning original that has been specially designed and optimized for the PLAYSTATION®3, and is available for download and purchase exclusively through the PlayStation® Network.

GripShift is an all-out, pedal-to-the-metal driving experience as you stunt your way through 150 insane twisting levels while collecting power-ups, avoiding traps, beating the clock and challenging friends online. Since release into the US market in January 07 Sidhe Interactive has continued to add value to the title including optimizing load times, enhancing ingame leaderboards, and adding a wider variety of ingame options. The official game website at http://www.gripshiftgame.com/ has also been expanded to include full leaderboard browsing so gamers can easily check their rankings outside of the game or when away from their PS3.

“The nature of the PlayStation Store platform enables us to add value on an ongoing basis after an initial release” said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of Sidhe Interactive, the development studio behind the title. “We’re excited about the opportunity to deliver more content, game modes and features over time”.

GripShift® is available now for download in Europe and Australasia via the
PlayStation® Network at a purchase price of only €7.99 for an introductory period.

Why does it seem like Sony is concentrating on mostly Racing & Shooting games... Where are the RPG's/Platformers?

Jak & Daxter, Oblivion, FFXII, LAIR, Heavenly Sword. They're out there if you look hard enough.

wait until the japanese rpgs kick in.. that is their staple... i really am not a fan of taking psp games and making them console games... Untold Legends was okay.. but nowhere near as good as Diablo 2...

Are we talking about the same Gripshift that was on the PSP and the PS3 Store? Because if so....what the hell are you people smoking?

I didnt hate Oblivion - I felt it was overrated.

But if this is the same Gripshift - its just a bunch of mini-games that last 30 seconds. You get more fun out of loading screens than you do the game.

it's ridiculously cheap so maybe that's why it's getting praise?
