This story from a UK Xbox official once again mentions that should Blu Ray "win" the support could be one day added to 360.

Excerpt:
"According to Nielsen VideoScan... Blu-ray titles outsold HD-DVD releases by nearly a 3-to-1 margin during January's second week, with 38.36 HD-DVD titles sold for every 100 Blu-ray releases. "

I highly doubt it... Music went digital distribution... So will movies, and Microsoft is already on the forefront with Marketplace.
Oh, and many more Blu-Ray movies came out the month of January, and most PS3 owners are not buying very many games = All +'s for Blu-Ray movie sales.

format wars suck. it won't matter really. i think that's why they've stayed with the "choice" theme. still, i have a butt load of DVDs still...and i still buy new releases on DVD simply because i can't afford new releases on Blu Ray or HD-DVD near as frequently lol

Good thing both players run DVD just fine then.
Myself, I cannot stand watching 480p anymore if there is any way to avoid it...I do.

Until somebody comes up with a real device for downloading, storing and displaying that content it will go nowhere.
Game consoles and Apple's new iTV device just won't cut it yet.

I agree... Microsoft or someone needs to make HD movie downloads cost at most $15 for the purchase... Not only rentable for $5.99
That would make a very large HDD necessary, unless you wanted to re-download them at a later time (I don‘t)... I would love to have all my HD movies on a Hard Drive to where I can flip through every one of them, and just hit a button without having to put a disc in the drive tray. It would also save a lot of shelf space.:)
