Microsoft supporters/workers were on hand in the UK launch to hand out chairs for those waiting to get the PS3, the chairs had a website for them to visit. here's the site = http://shkyw.org/

Whatever floats your boat... You know what’s even funnier = Europe still didn't even come close to selling out.

Too bad for Sony that the Japanese market doesn't matter as much as the U.S. & European markets... And so far they are not doing so good.
Hopefully Sony only gets 30% of the market this time, while the rest gets split up between Microsoft & Nintendo... It really would be the best for all of us gamers.

"UK Retailers already knocking 10% off PS3"
"UK reader Gavin mailed in to let us know that several games retailers he visited in Birmingham all had masses of stock of the PS3 and at Virgin they were knocking a massive 10% off the retail price (student card, Virgin CC or Virgin Tribe card."

But.. but... teh Sonyland?
I'm disappointed in all the lazy people not willing to work overtime to own the vaunted PS3.
On the bright side I see a massive amount of once Sony exclusive games coming over to the 360 now. Thank God we can salvage some good news out of this.:applause:

No-one Buys PS3 on eBay
Perhaps expectedly auction site salesman have got rather presumptuous with their eBay prices after the PS3 launch in Europe, marking up consoles to as much as £600 on the site.
Thankfully, it looks like there's no-one out their silly enough or in a remote-enough Welsh village to have to pay for the eBay seller's prices. The highest actual bid we've encountered thus far has beenthis PS3 auction where one lucky bidder is currently offering a £499 price tag on a PS3 and one game.

Looking further through the listings there's also a handful of bargains to be had; if you're quick enough there are a number of PS3s and games up for grabs for under RRP, though no-one's offering £146 worth of beer.
I see a massive about of PS3s returned to stores in Europe... Just like they did in the U.S.:grinking:
