It's nice to know that Microsoft listens to their fans, and does what they can.

Oh, and that Cattle Battle game is said to be terrible.

I'm not exactly sure what those picts prove but clan/group support is such an obvious need/desire that not having it is retarded.

Shame on GoW for not even trying.

Those pics look like they're from the same game?

Meh, I have no need for clan support. The online crowd is trash as it is, no need to give them more things to ruin.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... Maybe it's only for that one game.:conf:

I was thinking that as well although those blades did resemble the dashboard.

Nah, chances are she'll be under NDA and keep shtum. Its completely possible that they allow developers to incorporate clan support any way they see fit? (within reason)

No clan support will be in the spring update thankfully. I would rather they focus on better things than that.

Now that's just stupid... Microsoft needs to give people what they want, or they'll simply move on to another competitor that does have it or may get it... Understand.

You know as well as I that many want CLAN support... Don't simply sweep it under the rug like it's no big deal.

You remind me of someone that agrees with whatever decision Microsoft comes up with... well, in the real world it doesn't quite work out that way. Microsoft makes mistakes (Intentional/Unintentional) I don't know, but they DO, and I mean DO need to ALWAYS listen to their fans or they will lose the support just like Sony did.

He's just giving his own personal account of it all. In general clan support is wanted by many but theres far more important things I'd rather have.

It's something that actually should have been there from 360's start. And of course you would rather have other things... Playing on LIVE is not that big of a deal to you, right? ;)

Its not actually. Ask the folks that know me how often I play on Live, too many idiots to make it worthwhile. If I do play its only with a select few.
And I did mention that Clan Support is something the general masses want didn't I? It's not like I brushed it off as being not needed. For me personally, theres other things I'd like to see available.

You remind me of someone who likes to make assumptions and make themselves look stupid. How many times have I said I think the Halo 3 beta is a terrible idea?

I haven't seen it, so I guess never?

And please don't talk to me about assumptions. We all can get things wrong sometimes.

Like I said.. That ^ proves Microsoft makes mistakes by not listening to what many of their fans want, and it's a simple thing that can be added.

Clan support should be left to individual developers to put in games they feel would benefit. It should NOT be a default part of the Dashboard. What could be added in the dashboard is the ability to sort friends into groups.

For the record. A certain person in this thread is on record as saying he was not interested in the Halo3 public beta and that he would rather not play Halo3 as an unfinished product. I'll leave it to others to decide if that implies a "terrible idea". There are screen caps of that statement but I'll keep it civil...unless pressed. I have TONS of screen caps of that person making assumptions that never came true. Saying assumptions were made are one thing, being able to show documented evidence is another.

I didn't see it posted by on MN podcast 217 he confirms that a clan support blade will not be in the spring update. Major goes on to say that they have not ruled it out for future updates.

I am not excited about a clan blade as many others. I would rather a feature that allowed us to divide our friends list into groups be created. Currently I only add people I have shaken hands with to my friends list in anticpation of MS's promise to bring back "live alerts" in the fall of 2006. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/news/2005/0829-messengeralerts.htm

I always loved getting alerts on my cell phone when and what friends where playing. The alerts included PM's and even game invites. This got out of hand quickly when your friends list was pretty full.

I'm not big fan of multiplayer, so I'm not excited about this as well. And having a feature that allowed us to divide our friends list into groups would be really usefull.

I wouldn't think there would ever be a clan blade as part of the dashboard.
