I dont know about your area, but in my area Wiis are hard to find still. Not all of it is because of sellouts, Nintendo has neglected to ship consoles to certain stores due to population. Heck I know the inventory of my local Wal-Mart and we have yet to see a Wii since December 2. I dont mean because they are sold as soon as they are received, I mean Nintendo has not given us a single Wii since December 2.
Anyways, for those still looking, be sure to drop in to your local Toys'R'Us. Between March 18-24 they will have a Wii bundle promo going (first come first serve). Its a Wii w/Sonic and a $30 gift card. I heard good things about Sonic so it may not be a bad pickup. Its $299 instead of $249.

Are Wii's normally 299?
250+Sonic+a giftcard is a pretty good deal. I might grab one if I can, but there still aren't enough Wii games that I'm interested in.

To me the Wii just looks like fun to play. I mean I'm a pretty serious gamer for the most part and I seriously doubt there will be a lot of games on the Wii that I want to play but it does look like a lot of fun and for the price you really can't go wrong. I've got a five year old that plays my 360 all the time so maybe I could get him to play the wii too

Wiis are normally $249.99, but I think this is a good offer.

My only beef with the Wii is the price of controllers. $30 for a Wiimote, $25 for a Nanchuk, and another $25 to play VC games (classic controller).
I'll get a Wii eventually though. Like I have been saying for a year now - if Soul Calibur comes to the Wii in first person view, I'm sold. I will go out the next day and buy a Wii just for that game.
Imagine playing as Nightmare in first person with the Wiimote. ::drools::

I actually bought WiiPlay which came with another controller. Nunchuk not included.
The VC games can be played with Gamecube controllers which is what I use.

First Person Soul Calibur ? Don't ever say things like that man, ever. I don't even want to imagine such an abomination. If Namco ever does anything like that I'll burn their studios to the ground. No matter how they approached it, the game could never ever work in first person.

With the Wii it could.
If not first person, then third person. Just not side scrolling.
