DICE will be releasing a SP/MP demo for Bad Company June 5th on the Marketplace and PSN. It'll included the MP map Oasis and the beginning part of the SP campaign.

Well I've played the demo, thanks to Deac. The single player portion was pretty decent. It was a fairly short level but still had some fun parts. I thought the dialogue was funny at times. So it appears the story will indeed have a good bit of humor behind it. The Frostbite engine is great. During the mission, an airstrike occurs. What I liked is how the area got all cloudy with smoke, dirt, and whatever else was in the air. Pretty cool effect.
MP wise, there are some noticeable differences from the beta. Weapons seem to do more damage. You can fall short distances now without taking any damage. Your teammates stand out more with the new icon colors and bolder text. It seems like they've changed the lighting a bit and added a slight film grain, which I'm not a big fan of. I also don't like the new voice they implemented for the American team. It just sounds so generic.
Overall, I'm looking forward to this game even more now. The single player is probably going to be generic fun but that's fine with me. The multiplayer is where the game will shine, just like in previous Battlefield games. I was disappointed originally when I found out that there would be no Conquest mode. That changed today when I saw the text scrolling across the MP lobby saying Conquest mode will be implemented after the game launches.
