For those who have been following this game I thought I would post some info about the greatest action ever created.

The latest issue of PSM (April 2007) has a nice 10-page preview (and a featured cover ) on Ninja Gaiden Sigma with their own hands on experience with the game. I just thought I'd point out some things :

-Unspecified amount of original content for Sigma
-EVERYTHING was redone for Sigma: backgrounds, enemies, characters, animations, textures, etc.
-Game will make use of the SIXAXIS in one way by helping to power up Ninpo magic while casting it
-Sigma will be 19 Chapters long, 3 more Chapters than the previous 2 versions
-A lot of the new stuff is when you are going to be playing as Rachel
-Will run at a constant 60 FPS with full self-shadowing and in 720p
-3 ways to play - off the disk, off a partial install, or off a full install (for those who plan to play for long periods and don't want to worry about loads times. They wanted to give the gamer a choice on the matter)
New difficulty level above the previous ones
-Still talking to Sony about what the possibilites are for downloadable content
-Karma ranking system/online leaderboards will be intact
-Karma ranking/leaderboards will be improved upon by letting you view the results for a player's run through for specific chapters and how many times they died, etc.

Rachel Specific

-Features own integrated story missions and own mission mode levels
-Anything but a new skin for Hayabusa
-Completely separate arsenal of moves and all new animations
-Will have a different 'feel' from Hayabusa and will require a different way of thinking to play as compared to her counterpart
-Will still absorb essence and such as Hayabusa

I want this game so badly it hurts. Ever since it was announced I have been dreaming about it every night, but then again I'm obsessed with Ninja Gaiden so that may be the reason. Sigma is a beauty to behold and I'm 100% sure it will play like a dream.

i seriously hope they bring an NG2 to the 360. this Sigma is more of an expansion and playing as Rachel isn't too hot..well it is..but it's not lol

I seriously hope so too, but until then Sigma will have to feed my obsession. Sigma = another 1000 hrs of my life gone.

they won't because it is NG..with a new playable character... they probably realize charging 50 bucks would be dumb for this game on the 360 would result in a loss...just add on some dlc for NG...

.

Now that's nice... Full install = That's the best thing I have heard yet for a Sony PS3 game.

Ill give the game a rental. I bought Ninja Gaiden a few months back to play on the 360 (one of the few games in my collection of Xbox games that are actually B/C - surprise surprise). I have yet to touch it, but will get around to it.

Sigma will definitely be a good pickup for those who havent touched any of the NG remakes on the Xbox.

Does it come with the Hurricane Packs included in the game already? I thought I read somewhere that they did.

Yeah it has all the added content as well as additional stuff. The ability to play as the bouncy double (think about it lol) has just sold this game to the teenage male crowd.

One of the things that has me stoked is the inclusion of a new harder difficulty setting, that makes me so happy you wouldn't believe :woot:

You're not human. :help:

I struggled to get the game done in the easiest setting (not the 'ninja dog' setting).

If there's ever a co-op in Ninja Gaiden then I'm hooking up with you.
