Sony's Gamer Day is going on over in the UK and Killzone 2 is there. Here are a couple of videos. I have no idea how long these will stay because they've been pulled from several other websites. It's looking pretty good in my opinion. It'll be released in Feb. 2009 in Europe. No US date was given.

First video:

Second video:

Can't embed this one, so here is the link. For some odd reason the video loops in the middle.

You mean Feb. 2009?

Yeah, let me correct that.

lol, I knew Killzone 2 wouldn't release until sometime in 2009 & I still don't see any aiming curser or any HUD what so ever... I still have my doubts about this game & the BS videos they show.

My guess the US version will be out the same day as the EU version, maybe a few days difference.

There were videos shown last year that included cross-hairs and a HUD. There's nothing to be skeptical about. These are clearly real-time videos showing gameplay.

Then why show pre-recorded videos instead of having someone standing there playing the game for real? (And I'm not talking like someone just holding a Sony controller while pushing buttons & moving the analog sticks to a video) - I'm talking about someone really showing the gameplay in the way Bungie did with the Halo games.

I'm tired of seeing Sony's BS

Here's a gameplay video from the event. HUD and cross-hairs are all there. Still think it's a bunch of BS?

Now that's a better video, but I would still like someone showing off the game like Bungie does with Halo, so that we know everything is in real-time.

The graphics/textures look dumb-down.

In the demo walkthrough videos @ GameTrailers its mentioned that in this game you are not playing as 4 different roles, but rather just one person now. In the first one you could have gone through each level with 4 different characters. This one you won't. Disappointed by that, but it's something I can look past.

Can't wait to get my hands on it. I have got to playthrough KillZone 1 again one of these days.

Not sure why but I'm kind of meh on this one. MGS4 looks great, LBP looks solid but this one just seems to be a bland FPS title. Some of the latest videos over at Gametrailers weren't all that impressive. Visuals look great but the AI seems a bit dumbed down and the gameplay is like any regular FPS with nothing unique at this point that I can see.

Not trying to hate because I want this one to be good since I will more than likely have a PS3 prior to holiday this year. We'll wait and see.

The AI has looked a little iffy in the videos. I'm not sure if they have it set on really easy or what. The AI was one of the biggest problems in the first Killzone. I can't imagine them not addressing that issue in Killzone 2. Other than that, I've liked what I've seen from the videos. The graphics look excellent and the battles looked pretty intense.

For demo purposes, you're probably right. They may have the settings a bit lower which many devs have done on other games in the past. I'm looking for something that really becomes Killzone's signature difference in this genre.

With COD4, it's the frenetic battles with the perks on MP. For Halo 4 it's the vehicles, Forge and the replay system, for Half Life 2 it's the physics and dare we forget about Portal. I'm wondering what the x factor for Killzone will be once it ships??

While the graphics have taken a hit... I really want this to be a solid title. I've always wanted/talked about a FPS with a deep cover system at Xbox.com (Yes even in Halo 3, yet they failed to change much) - So I hope Killzone 2 delivers what Microsoft hasn’t/won’t/can't.

I loved the weapon arsenal for KillZone 1, perhaps that?

Why does everything have to be a comparison? This is a Guerrilla Games title, not a Bungie title. Sure, I was letdown by Halo 3 but thats because they set such a high mark from Halo 1. My hate for Halo 3 doesn't necessarily mean I anticipate KillZone 2 more. Hell I anticipate KillZone 2 because of the amount of fun I had with KillZone 1 (late night multiplayer matches).

Because it's fun?:dunno:
