Bleh... It needs a lot of work, looks a lot like the first Fable in the graphics/environment department.

I hope the game is HALF of what PETER envisioned in the first fable.

Btw, don't get me wrong... I had a lot of fun with the first Fable

he states in the dog vid that visuals are nowhere near the quality of a finished product. its more filler material.

Well it was ok, let's just hope that he can do every feature that he wants this time.

Yeah, I know... It's just hard for me to believe in what PETER M has to say after all his other games that were far less than what he said they were going to be.

I agree that alot of the stuff he said about Fable didn't pan out in the end but he did say in numerous interviews before the launch of the game what was cut. I followed the game from the moment Molyneux announced it to the actual release and I came away incredibly impressed. It was ground breaking in some instances with the way the character evolves both in appearance and gameplay abilities.
This time I think Peter's learnt his lesson and is only announcing features actually in the game.

Pretty cool that you could buy anything in the world. But I don't know if I like the idea of muskets and guns instead of bows and arrows and swords. I liked the old Fable. But this one looks O.K.

Muskets and guns are additions to bows and swords, its really just giving you more choices.

I didn't like the first game that much, it was waaaaaaay too short for a RPG. It took me less than 9 hrs to finish the game. I felt cheated, I bought the game in the morning and beat it the same night. It had some great aspects like the way the character evolved, being able to buy a house and get married and all that but I felt there was a great deal of room for improvements.

Hopefully Peter Molyneux delivers an epic RPG this time and not just a RPG with cool ideas.

That's quite the concern with the sequel, story being too short. I'm hoping that the story will last a minimum of 20 hours, make it lengthy Lionhead and don't scrimp on the side stuff!

I've just viewed Part 3 of the dog demo and can confirm that if your dog is injured, you can run away and choose not to use it. I'm pretty sure that you don't have to rely on enemies to injure the dog too, if you see where I'm going with this.

I agree Kin, the first one was way to short but I can't wait for the 2nd one, I loved playing fable.. I kept giving my character new tatoos.. I tried once to see how many I could get on him at one time...LOL...

Don't get me wrong, there's always the odd dog that'll look too awesome too not like but in general, I'm not a fan.

I won't ruin the forums by creating another thread of a game that already has one so I'm sticking this in here.

* Players can pick a male or female hero
* Players can choose to have protected or unprotected sex (and yes, there are STDs)
* Female heroes can get pregnant
* Players can have children
* The world responds to your “hero-ness”
* Two new character morphs (besides Good/Evil): cruelty/kindness and wealth/poverty
* Own every single piece of property
* Players can become king

They gotta have an achievement for having unprotected sex a dozen times without contracting a disease :lol:

Lionhead already stated that they wont include miscarriages because it would be “too emotionally charged”.

That would have been a step too far I think.

Here's something interesting from Gamespot:

When you "die" in Fable 2 you won't actually die, and you certainly won't have to return to a previous save or a checkpoint. Rather, you'll collapse on the ground, where enemies will continue to attack you. When you eventually get up you'll be scarred for life, and those scars will affect the way that some other characters treat you. You'll purportedly have the option to spend experience points on the Fable 2 equivalent of cosmetic surgery if your deformities become bothersome, by the way, but since scars are undeniably cool it seems like those points might be better spent on leveling up some skill or another.
