I picked up a Dualshock 3 today and I'm glad I did. The controller has a nice weight to it and it feels like it's built better compared to the Sixaxis. The L2 and R2 buttons feel a bit better as well. I've only tried it with two games so far, MLB 08 and Resistance.
Both games seem to have implemented the rumble feature nicely. MLB 08's rumble is pretty similar to MLB 06's rumble. When you move the pitch cursor outside the strike zone, it'll rumble. When you're in a high pressure situation, you'll feel a heartbeat type rumble. With Resistance, the rumble is pretty similar to every other FPS. You'll feel the rumble when you shoot, melee, etc. It's not too weak and it's not too strong. I've still got a few more games to try it out with. So I'll post some impressions of how it works with those other games in the coming days.
Overall, I highly recommend the DS3.
