So, rumble will come to the PS3. Hmm....and to think Sony indicated that 'no one' wants rumble but prefers 6-axis motion. <yes that is sarcasim>

PS2 - Rumble is important/PS3 - Rumble is so Last Gen, . Sony - Suxasses is Next Gen and we can’t have rumble & motion control at the same time, oh wait… we can have it now, because we say so… It’s important now! We are no longer in a lawsuit with Immersion? We now can have rumble? We now can do both because of our amazing SONY technicians did the impossible… Included Last Gen rumble with Next Gen motion control to get “Super Gen control!!!” Anyways, Keep waiting for that rumble.
Fixed.

The way I read the story though it says PS3 will NOT have rumble.

"In return, Sony will get unspecified rights to some of Immersion's patents and will explore ways to include the technology in future PlayStation products. No further details of the business arrangement or terms of the deal were disclosed."
Let's be realistic here. Sony wouldn't be making much 'new' playstation products for the PS2, and rumble in the PSP could suck the crap out of the battery. My guess is we will see rumble on the PS3 controller soon.

Putting rumble into the PS3 controllers would be a step backwards for them. Especially when you look at the amount of people who already own the console and would have to buy a new controller or two. Unless they intend to creat some kind of add-on (not gonna happen) to the existing controller, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Keyword: FUTURE products.
Do we even know if the proper interface "hooks" are even in place to allow PS3 to use it?
