Experience the explosive opening scenario from Turning Point®: Fall of Liberty™, the forthcoming alternate reality shooter from Spark Unlimited™, as Codemasters® announces the launch of the game's playable demo, now available to download exclusively from Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®.
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty opens as the sun rises over New York on a September morning in an altered vision 1953. Without warning, the undefeated Third Reich launch an explosive attack on the gateway to the United States and, sending a very clear message to the city, razes the Statue of Liberty in a devastating bombing run.

As this hell breaks out, the demo sees players assume the role of Dan Carson, a New York City construction engineer, at work on the girders of a skyscraper. The invasion intensifies and, as the skies fill with Zeppelins, jet aircraft and assault blimps, the skyscraper takes several direct hits. With the building collapsing around him, Carson must run for his life, dashing along girders, finding ladders or, as players head towards the lower levels, leaping from girder to girder to safety.

Players come face to face with the enemy as paratroopers descend on the building. Players can make use of Carson's strength to grapple with opponents Krav Maga-style, disarming and dispatching them off the side of the building in dramatic environmental kills.

Survive the attack on New York in the Xbox 360 demo and then, as the fearsome German war machine occupies America and Europe, prepare for a World War II like no other in the full game, coming soon for the Xbox 360, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows®. For the latest Turning Point: Fall of Liberty information, videos and community news, be sure to visit the official game website located at www.turningpointgame.com (http://www.turningpointgame.com)

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is planned to launch in early 2008 for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows®, and is rated "T" (Teen - Language, Violence - Content that may be suitable for persons ages 13 and older) by the ESRB.

the game isn't too bad, but the AI could use some help. They ain't exactly the sharpest tools in the tool shed. but the music is period.

I decided to give this demo a try today, just for laughs. It's as bad as I thought it would be. It's an interesting concept that's poorly executed. Bad graphics, weak weapon sounds, poor aiming controls, and unintelligent AI. The music is good, I'll give it that.

It would be interesting to see what a developer like Infinity Ward could do with this concept.

I gave the demo a try tonight. Interested in the story line as an Alternate History game. Man the aiming with weapons was bad. Maybe I'm just use to modern combat now, but it was crazy and yes the AI seemed off to me. Not a buy in my book an not sure if I'd rent to just experience more or not.

I gave the demo a try. It was an impressive sight on top of the high steel (with the traffic below and the buildings) but after that the game went from "ok I'll rent it" to "pass."

The aiming has three different sensitivity settings. Low, Medium, High. If they gave you the options to customize the sensitivity like in other shooters, the aiming wouldnt be that bad as it is. Medium is the best to go with, but thats not saying much.

It looks like it had a nice concept, but its ruined by the choppy development. Lack of quality sound, mediocre shooting mechanics, and once again another Nazi enemy.
