Let me introduce myself.
I've only been gaming since the N64 was a used product. It was too expensive for my family to buy anything new. Ever since Perfect Dark my friends and I become hooked. If you can imagine PD tournies after school followed by Mountain Dew drinking contest, then you've just imagined my middle school years.
Now I had played on other consoles before that, just at friends houses. Which would have been, basically, another N64, a playstation, the snes and nes. So much to say I hadn't the big exposure to console gamings before the original Xbox was produced. Ever since then my gaming life has become full and downright exciting.
Remember that PD tourney you just imagined? Now imagine Halo tournies and Mountain Dew drinking contest. Those were the begining of my high school years.
Now I didn't wait in line for Halo 2, but I did stop by after everyone else bought copies and snagged a few for myself. Halo 2 was an increadable adventure and I do believe the first time I entered live online gaming...through a console.
Don't get me wrong, pc gaming is awesome, vast and increadibly diverse, but for some reason, console gaming is what really grabs me and absorbs my attention.
Now I game on an Xbox 360. My true enjoyment is playing live games, mostly FPS. I feel that Microsoft is the only company that has gotten online console gaming right so far. The truth though, if I had not won a 360 through Mountain Dew I would not be playing on one till around now, when the prices dropped. I'm glad though because I have thoroughly enjoyed every last second of it. The next best thing I did after getting a 360 was getting an HD tv. Enjoyment Squared!
Now my entire days are consumed by reading gaming news work and my girlfriend. Gaming tourneys at my house are a thing of the past but oh, the memories are held dearest.
