A countdown timer on Criterion Games' website reveals the playable demo for Burnout Paradise will hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners on Thursday, December 13th. No new details about the demo are given, but it was previously revealed it would open a section of Paradise City to play in, both in single-player and online, with three online challenges.

Of course, for 360 players without an Xbox Live Gold subscription, keep in mind that you'll be waiting until December 20th for the demo. But that's cool -- it's just "added benefit" for Gold members, right? Uh, right?

Burnout Paradise hits retail on January 22.

well it snaps a photo of your reactions throughout the game..win or lose. it was pretty fun seeing my pic plastered over the race after i had lost.

oh snap! that's pretty cool. hopefully more games find new and fun ways to make use of the camera. The camera needs more support for it to be taken seriously. As it is now other than Rainbow Six, Tiger Woods, and a few games on UNO (which I use for a 4 person video chat) I never use the camera...well I do have the water effect going on at the dash (pretty cool btw)

no one uses it man..it's not just you. so this will be cool to have something for it at least.

Try playing Burnout Revenge while listening to "Beautiful Day" by U2 on repeat.
You just might cry at how epic it truly is to hear Bono's voice as your car pretty much splits in half.

What is this I hear that you cannot retry events in Burnout Paradise? From what I have been reading from the trusty ol' WWW we, the players, cannot retry any of the events in the game. What is up with this?

The devs. didn't want to include loading screens. So they decided to eliminate retries and make you drive all the way back to the starting point.

Yeah i heard that,
getting rid of loading screens would be cool but not if you have to spend three minutes driving back,
i would rather watch a load screen for ten seconds.

Oh, I was under the impression you couldnt redo events at all (meaning what you got is what you get). I dont mind driving back to an event.
