Great system. It's a lot smaller that the original one. It comes in white, black and pink.
It has wifi built in. touch screen. games are great. ( no loading times )
Battery life is great. it last about 10 hours on a charge.
When you get one, I recomend a screen protector for any scratches.
I also recomend getting a few games like : Elite Beat Agents ( kind of like ddr )
Final Fantasy 3 ( if your into rpgs )
New super mario ( must have )
hope this helps

I love my DS Lite, amazing battery life and cool touch screen functionality make it a lot of fun and perfect for handheld gaming. I highly recommend Hotel Dusk: Room 215. It's the best game I've played on the system so far, it plays like a noire mystery novel; you even hold the DS like a book. :D

I have the Hot Rod DS that came out two Christmases ago. I like the DS more than I thought I would. Sadly, my PSP has been really neglected as I play games like "Animal Crossing" and the Castlevanias.

I love my DS lite and the encourage other people to try mine. SO far the most popular games people want to play are Brain Age, Big Brain Academy and Trauma Center: Under the Knife. I ended up getting one for my mum for the holidays since she liked mine so much and two co-workers have it on their list to buy now (non-gaming co-workers)

I've yet to make the jump from DSPHAT to DSlite. but it is amazingly good fun. Some notworthy games would include;
Elite beat agents
Animal Crossing: Wide World (I warn you, prepare to lose your social life)
Mario Kart
Hotel Dusk (Out in North America, March for us Europeans)
Contact (for the obscure Japanese stylings)
Theres tonnes more but any of these would be a great start for a newcomer, heck, my first game was Polarium, NOT a good game at all.

I had a DS and was very committed to the THAW Forums. Then I sold it.

Don't even think about not getting it. I've owned my for a couple of months and don't regret it. There are so many great games.

I bought it last month. Great system: lots of good games, small size, long battery life, cool design.
