Just the other day, I noticed this post on Xbox.com : Linky (http://forums.xbox.com/10029207/ShowPost.aspx)

I thought that this feature will be an amazing new thing on Xbox 360 and especially of Xbox Live. I was just wondering when it will be released? Possibly the Spring Update? How much will it cost? If anyone has any feedback/input to this, it would be cool :coolguy: Again, this will be awesome!!!!

It won't come until later in 2007 for most people.

My concern is that we will need to purchase a new 360 to take advantage of this, have they confirmed that yet? Not that it's going to be available in my area on launch...

If that does end up being the case (and I don't think it will) there is no way IPTV is an important enough feature to get me to buy another new 360 over it.

What will be needed is a bigger HDD, don't tell me nobody saw that need coming ever since launch.

I agree. But if they were going to make a newer version of Xbox 360, I think they will incorporate everything into 1 newer version. I.E. the larger HD, HDMI input, improved chip, IPTV, etc. But for IPTV alone, I don't think it will require a newer version. It will just come included in one large update. I heard on Xbox.com some of the details for IPTV. It will be launched in Summer 2007, and it will have a monthly cost. If this is rumored - I don't know. I also don't know the exact monthly fee if there is one. I'll get back to posting more details as we find out more. Thanks.
