I am very excited for this game. It comes out right after Assasin's Creed and the same week as Mass Effect :(

There is supposedly a demo coming out 12 days before release, so sometime around November 8.
I cant wait for the game either, definite day 1 pickup for me simply because it says Naughty Dog on it.

The demo is out now. I gave it a try and found it to be pretty enjoyable. This is by far the best looking PS3 game. Everything looks great, especially the character models. The gameplay seems to be a mix between Tomb Raider and Gears of War. The cover system works very well. I tried it out on normal and the enemy AI was pretty decent. They'll jump from cover to cover and they'll also try to surround you in certain situations. The weapon sounds are nicely done and the voice acting is top notch.
I'm looking forward to playing the full version.

Too bad this demo is pretty much crashing the PSN store right now. I like the new firmware though.

So the demo is pretty cool. The graphics are pretty. The jungle looks really good. Shading is pretty fricking awesome. Voice acting is good. All in all it is pretty solid. I definitely look forward to the full version!

Finally played the demo:
+ Excellent visuals
+ No auto aim :)
+ Scarce ammo, at least for me it was
+ Enemy AI ambushes you
- Enemy AI wont always ambush you
- Drake moonwalks on the ground
I am impressed with the demo, definitely a pickup for me.

I liked the water effects a lot in the demo. If you had Drake go under the waterfall, his clothes would be drenched and it would take him awhile to dry off.

Yeah, they seem to have put a lot of thought into small details like that. Good stuff. It is just such a good looking game.

I am playing this game as we speak. It is just awesome. The graphics for the most part are really amazing. The lighting, the water, people, environment. The only thing that is weird looking sometimes are the faces, but it's not too bad. The controls are easy to learn. As far as the story so far, I am really getting into it thus far. It is all around good stuff with this game so far! They even have a built in achievements system. It is called Medal Points. I'm at 5 or 1000 thus far lol.
It's the small things too that are cool. I was shooting at a bad guy and shot him in the foot. He lifted up his foot and started holding it because it hurt.

I'm only a short way into this game and so far I'll give it an 8.8. The visuals are top notch. The water is fun to look at.. as are the rocks and plants and buildings. The character models are pretty solid and their movement is well animated, but Drake's feet do tend to slide around a bit, not enough to be a detriment to the experience.
The voice acting is good.. but almost too prevelant. My character and the NPCs tend to chime in at seemingly inopportune times.. like when sneaking up on someone to blast'em in the head. The music thats present so far has just blended into the background as I absorb the visuals, which I suppose is a good thing w/ this kind of title. But it doesn't strike me as groundbreaking or anything.
My main issue lies w/ all the hints and instructions that pop up during gameplay. I'm playing through on Normal (I'm renting it, want it beat before its due back), so that may be the reason I'm still receiving all these tips, but after the first two hours of gameplay you'd think the designers would figure I'd have the hang of it by now. Granted I haven't checked the options to see if I can turn that off, so I may have to eat my words when I check it out later.
The achievement system and hidden treasures are a fun aspect that I didn't expect in this type of game. It definitely makes you want those headshots that much more. Allthough sometimes when I land a headshot and duder simply shakes it off, I wonder wth is going on as I try and get him in my sights again while he's break dancing all over the place; break dancing being the prefered method of bullet evasion employed by the enemy AI.
This game doesn't score higher than 8.8 because its replay value is placed squarely at zero. I don't even want to retry individual missions. The game is fun, but once the 'puzzle' has been solved, the pieces are glaringly obvious and the gunfights aren't enough to bring me back. The voice acting is overacted, IMO which brings it down another notch or two. Glad I rented it and didn't buy.

Welp I beat the game today. I'm on a mission to beat all the games I own (well, story driven games that is) before buying new ones. Yesterday was Mario, today was Drake. What an excellent game. What was thought to be a testosterone version of Tomb Raider turned out to be quite a game on its own. One thing that spots out immediately are the impressive visuals. While it seems in today's trend that jungles and green trees are the best things to use to show off graphics (Crysis, Far Cry, Uncharted, etc...) Uncharted is probably the first "wow" game of the PS3.
The story consisted of 22 chapters, some short, some long, but all in all was decent length. Even though it took me about a month to complete - it was probably 10 hours of combined length. Unfortunately there really isnt much reason to play through as the game is quite linear, but down the road when Im bored I'll pop it in again to see if I can find all the treasures and such. Naughty Dog definitely has the beginning to a new franchise, but one that can probably go trilogy length before killing off.
Overall, a must for PS3 owners. Graphically stunning, excellent voice acting and story, and one heck of an underrated sound score. I snagged this for $44, but if you find it a little bit higher in price its worth it. No game aside from The Orange Box is worth $60.

This is one of my must buy titles for the PS3 right now. Once I pick a PS3 up this will be purchased right along with it. Can't wait to check it out.

I've finished Uncharted and it was a great game overall. The game is like Tomb Raider meets Gears of War meets Far Cry. I'll list the pros and cons below:
Pros
-Great story overall (the last few chapters were kind of weird though)
-Impressive graphics. Great looking water, environments and character models.
-Really nice animations
-Some of the best voice acting you'll find in a game.
-Nice musical score
-Nice mixture of action, platforming, and puzzle gameplay.
-A bunch of nice bonus material to unlock. Seeing how they did the cut-scenes was quite interesting.
Cons
-Fairly linear game
-They went a little overboard with the color green in some areas.
-The final chapter was rather frustrating.
-Ammo is rather scarce. This really wouldn't be a problem if some enemies didn't absorb bullets like a sponge.
-Camera can be kind of annoying in some areas.

I got 1000/1000 in Uncharted. Yes, the game has achievements, except they are called medals.
