I dont know people are calling for a Wii price cut, it doesnt need one. Its the cheapest one of the three. Heck the next best choice is the $349 priced 360.

Thats insane though, they now seem likely to break PS2's sales record.

If they can sell over 20 million in its first year, I would say yes it can beat PS2, even the PS1. But its still a hard margin to beat. Despite it being $50 cheaper than the launch price of the PS2, multiplatform is just the way to go for more consumers. So instead of one system dominating the market, we will see all three having a decent share.

China is the key. That's a HUGE market that as of yet has been untouched.

No doubt with China's economy. But will the Chinese culture accept a Japanese product. Its not as easy for a Japanese product to sell there as it is here. Our cultures greatly differ.

They've accepted every culture that has entered their market after the government has approved the product anyway.

Does China still have a huge problem with piracy? If so, the Wii would sell insanely good hardware wise (which is good for Nintendo, since they make a profit off of every system sold and always have) but will nobody there be buying games?

Nintendo doesn't even have enough to go around in the U.S. alone - How can they have them in China?

That is a valid point, but in the past 2 years the major pirating operations have been shutdown. China has recently been given the tools from the international community to start effective IP enforcement.

That's also a vaild point. They are going to need to do something about that.
