Next Xbox?

Well, Xbox 360 has been out for more than a year already, and it seems as if the Zero Hour event which occurred in the Mojave Desert only happened yesterday. But it's already 2007, and I think we can safely say that Microsoft is planning the next Xbox. Now, what I've been wondering is how Microsoft can make the next Xbox better? I have thought about it for awhile now, and I can't seem to think what Microsoft has in store. Xbox 360 is already an amazing system. How can they improve the appearance/performance of the next Xbox? What will they name it? Will they change the color? The shape? The theme? The design?? I don't know, but I hope it keeps it's nice white casing. At least, I would love to see the console available in a variety of colors like black, silver, or white. What would you guys like to see? What would you imagine the next Xbox to look like? Wow, Bill sound s like you should be in marketing for Microsoft!! You really are thinking ahead but this is a great post.

I think maybe Xbox should incorporate a coolant system like the one being introduced By AlienWare and Dell in thier PC's but then of course cost would be a factor...

I would also like to see private chat be available to more that just one person so you can have a group of friends in the chat session itself...

Hmm... let me think more because I am sure I will have more to add!!

something like Sony did, they thought ahead, we only have 9 gigs to work with, they have 50, maybe Microsoft would put a HD-DVD player that would play GAMES on HD-DVD, longer games, greater games, TRUE HD GAMES

Mainly though this is EXACTLY why we need to stop calling this stuff "next-gen".

360 is well over a year since release and the other two consoles have been out for months.

THEY ARE CURRENT GEN!!!!

What's next is "next-gen" and I think we need only look at Crysis to see what it will be like.

...and yes, the next box will have a high cap optical drive and the need for it will be obvious soon.

yeah, Twilight has the right idea. I would like to see video chat with maybe a for way split screen. ( I think it should be possible in this day and age )


Include a bigger hard drive. ( I heard they are working on a 100 gig one )

all mp games must follow or be beter than Halo 2's matchmaking.

That's all I can think of right now.

Great ideas so far!! I like the idea of a larger hard drive. That will definitely be needed. I also like the idea of a four-way video chat system! That would be great!

For the interface on the next Xbox I think they will just incorporate the Windows Vista interface since they allegedly built Vista like a game system so I wont be surpriced if we see that same stuff incorporated into an actual game system.

Give it another 4 years or so and then talk about another xbox. Won't see anything for at least 3 years at the bare minimum.

4 years? Wow, I hope not. I got the 360 when I was a sophomore in highschool, if the next one comes out in 4 years I will be a senior in college. Hope it does not take that long. I say we start to hear about a new one in a year in a half and see one in November of 2010.

Like I said, 3 years at the bare minimum wich would be 2010. The 360 has only been out since 05. Why the rsh for a new console already when the 360 has so much more promise with games?
