NAT message

Have any of yall had a message pop up saying your NAT is strict and could slow your matchmaking process. I don't get this because when I check my settings it says open. Is this a problem there having on Halo right now or am I going crazy.:conf:

yeah i got that message the night we played after the live show (i did a matchmaking game or two after that show)

and i did the check, and also showed as open - i presume its related to all the other issues going on with live since the halo 3 release.

Nice no worries then. Yeah usually that message would shut down all matchmaking as far as connecting and I connected right up with everyone so I dont know LOL. As long as it plays im down.
Im ready for tomm night its going to be fun.

2 of my friends has this problem. One of them was exactly like you, on the dashboard the NAT was fine, but Halo still gave a message. He didn't do anything, he hasn't had problems playing.

best thing to do is if you are having NAT problems is to go to your router's company's website. Go to their FAQs and type in 'NAT' and 'Xbox 360'. They'll give you recommendations on port forwarding and what not.

true, and if you have a supported router you normally dont even have to forward any ports

but this seems to be related to the halo release - the NATS are really open (when looking on the dash etc), but on halo they list as not open
