I'm not really into RPG, the last and only one I ever liked was FF7? it was a triple disk I think, but I was ready about this in my game informer, I don't think I'll be getting this, but it does look like it'll be interesting

I just watched a video on this game it seems to look like it might be kinda fun. Does anyone know if its turn based fighting style or what?

Thanks for resurrecting the thread Rhyme. Blue Dragon is one my most anticipated games of 2007. JRPGs are the only RPGs that appeal to me. I can't wait to get my hands on that game.

I am curious about this one. Isn't it by the people who did Chrono Trigger? (I loved that game back in the day).

Yes. Mistwalker studios is founded by Hironobu Sakaguchi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hironobu_Sakaguchi), who's worked on basically every Final Fantasy title since, well, the first. Other people from Square went with him.

Who has played the Demo and who has liked it. I played almost the full 2 hours on mine and I loved this. The Visuals are awesome. Especially the max attack with the shadow. I forget the name they call it to do this move but I did it with the Dragon,The Bull, and the Sabertooth cat thing. I'm really amped up about this game.
The name of the attack im talking about is .. The Corporeal attack.

I played for a full hour last night and really enjoyed it. As with all games like this, it took me a little bit to get used to the controls and the menu / combat system. Once there I really enjoyed the game a lot.
Believe it or not, I have never played a true turn based JRPG before and I always thought I would not like them. I am finding the experience to be quite good.
This one just went on my must buy list.

I've always been into JRPGs. I have an extremely large collection of JRPGs. Blue Dragon is everything I hoped it would be. I've been playing the demo non-stop since I downloaded it.
Between Blue Dragon next month and Eternal Sonata in September, I'm going to have to cut off all ties with the outside world. There will be much level grinding.

I need to check this one out soon. It's been ages since I played anything remotely like an RPG style game. Wanted to give Starcraft a try and never did. I've got my eyes on Halo Wars, but I plan on checking out as many demos as I can, doesn't hurt to give them a try at least.

Yeah I played the demo last night. The corporeal attacks are awesome. They remind me of the summons in final fantasy.
The music during battles are great.
I love using the magic attacks also.
If two worlds wasn't coming out at the same time. I would be getting this game. I may have to wait until the hollidays for this one.

When we first heard that Blue Dragon for Xbox 360 centered around a young boy named Shu, we thought it was a game based on the Johnny Cash song.

I picked this one up today. I've played about 2 hours so far and I am really digging it. You get a good portion of abilities early on and the gameplay is very strategic and quite fun. The cut scenes are great and so far I give it a thumbs up.

This is the first JRPG I have played since the NES days so the gameplay feels very different and refreshing to me. Some of the criticism has been that it feels like a 1998 JRPG but for me since I haven't played one in literally decades it feels fresh.
I normally don't get into these but as I get older I find myself wanting to experience different style of games mixed in with my normal FPS and shooter fare.

I've been looking forward to a game like this for a while, so I am glad this is finally out. I have played about an hour so far and it is all right. I am prepared to have the first 10 - 15 hours not be too exciting (I read from a couple different reviews that it starts off really slow and picks up later in the game). I think it is funny that you fight poo snakes and you can also search poo on the ground and find gold/items in it!

Well, I am 8 hours in now and a few boss battles later and I have to say I am still enjoying my experience. This last boss battle was pretty tough but I pervailed! The cinematics in this game are just beautiful and although the storyline is a little thin it is enough to get you into this world. The gameplay and quality of the visuals more than make up for it. With a better story this would have been a AAA game all the way in my book.
I can't help but have the feeling that Sag (creator) is using this game as his warmup for Lost Odyssey which will more than likely be his first epic RPG on the 360. We'll have to wait and see.

I heard that Blue Dragon takes a while to pick up and get more interesting. I've read it is either on the 2nd or 3rd disk where it gets really good. Either way, I'm gonna play through it.
