So...who here is NOT buying Halo 3?

Haha call me nuts. I just looked up some more pics and vids on H3 and honestly im still not feeling it for this game. Ive never been a fan of halo period, but been trying to get somewhat excited for 3 next week but i dont know, i still couldnt care less about it. I just dont see whats so great about it. Graphics are way too cartoony for me, not even that great either, and all this bunny hopping everywhere....blah. I might just sell off my copy when I get it next week (or maybe use it as a coaster ) and not even try it...thank god Im getting it for free, I doubt I would pay a penny for it. :shocking:

I'm sure there are quite a few 360 gamers that aren't planning on getting it. Personally, I was not a big fan of the MP in Halo 2 and quit playing it after a couple of week.

I am getting it for the story and online coop. I still remember playing Halo for the first time with a friend of mine for 12 hours straight beating the campaign for the first time. It just brings back good memories. That and finishing the story are my motivation for picking it up. I can definitely see why some folks will not be picking it up especially those that are primary MP players. I don't think you're alone.

Im getting a copy of Halo 3 free, heck...and I even forgot about it lol...just goes to show just how much Im looking forward to it eh lol. Im probably just gonna sell it off and use that to get PGR4...

Knowing me Ill probably even forget to pick it up next week LOL.

It's one of a small few games worth buying to keep. The rest can be rentals.

I have it pre-ordered but I'm not excited about it. Looks like Halo 2 with new maps. The bunny hopping is annoying as hell and it's probably what kills it for me.

I'm not buying. My friend won it doing that Zombie Killing contest. He is keeping the helmet case for sale and shipping me off the game since he never would have know about the contest if it were not for me. He hasn't decided yet if he will buy his own copy with the money from the case or not. I loves my friends!!!


-edit of course this does mean that I have to wait for him to re-ship it once he gets it, no launch day play for me

as much as I hate to admit it.. I'm in the same boat.. I wasn't sold on the second.. it was overrated.. I don't know yet about the third..

I feel exactly the same. Call it a cool game, a nice little shoot'emuper....but man, all this hype for just that? There's much better games than Halo IMO.

I don't like when stuff gets hyped up too much. I am usually let down when that happens. I am just doing my best to not buy into the hype. That way when I buy it and play it, I don't have super high expectations for it and can enjoy it more. (I guess that was a run on sentence or something, oh well though)

Halo 1 was great but I was extremely disappointed with Halo 2's single player campaign. I'll be buying Halo 3 but my excitement level for it is pretty low. I'm more excited for the Crysis demo on the 25th.

I don't care one bit for it's single-player. I didn't even bother beating Halo 2 and won't with Halo 3. Online multiplayer is where I hope something interesting's offered.

I wish it was COD4 coming out Monday and not H3 lol.

Anyways Ive decided that ill give er a try on Tues and still play it. But I dont see myself holding onto it for long. It'll have to blow me away to keep me interested, and i dont see that happening lol. Once GH3, PGR4 and COD4 come out...ill soon forget H3.

I personally think the graphics suck - have you seen the MP maps? Terrible bland graphics.

I absolutely loved Halo CE. Halo 2 was a mixed bag for me. I loved the single player but the MP / matchmaking was a bummer. Too many folks concerned with winning at all costs and being uber annoying. Getting a casual group of folks together was still fun but the magic of Halo CE LAN parties was missing.

I think Halo 3 will better received than Halo 2 mainly because it seems the hype machine isn't running full throttle this time around. There's no concept demo that was missing from the full game as with Halo 2. Bungie has been very quiet until they complere a feature. I think Forge will be hot as well as replays and the campaign meta game.

I have a feeling this one will have higher average reviews and be better received overall. Just a hunch.
