I just got my copy from the lost planet giveaway (http://www.unscripted360.com/2006/12/26/lost-planet-extreme-condition-giveaway/). It also came with a launch event tshirt.
I just got past the first two levels. I am having so much fun with the single player. I still haven't tried the mp. ( maybe soon )
I love driving the VS suits. The fire from the exploding barrels look so real. ( I don't have a HD tv but they still look great )
Anyone that is thinking about getting this game should get it. It has everything a si-fi lover wants in it.
thanks

It's one of the best games the Xbox 360 has I think. I like it more than Gears of War personally, the campaign is just as good, except the boss battles are better, and the multi-player in Lost Planet is a lot better I think. In Gears of War you feel so helpless, since there's no jump or anything like that. In Lost Planet, you don't feel so neutered. I'll be playing it right up until Crackdown.

I agree; I really enjoy this game so far. It is tough for me even though I am playing it on normal difficulity, but after you beat a boss/level it's very satisfying.

That is what I was thinking about in my last online match. Every single time you kill someone, it's satisfying, because there is absolutely zero auto-aim in the game.

yeah the boss battles are great.
It feels real good to take down a VS on your own with a rifle, nades and a rocket launcher without the help of a VS of you own.

Thanks for posting this, I was thinking about buying it but did not like the demo too much as it did not really explain anything about the game. I think I might buy this one after I have completed some of the other games I have.

I Love Lost Planet, I didn't realize how much I missed having a Boss to beat at the end of each level, I've just about finished the game on Normal I'm stuck on Mission 11 at the Very end, This last Boss has been ticking me off for a week, everyday I try to beat it a couple of times but so far no success, one of these times I'll kill him! I've had a Blast playing MP you can definately tell the diffrence when you have a couple of good players on your team, I've been playing Post Grab the last couple of days I was constantly loosing matches because I didn't know anyone on my team and noone would work together or listen to me, Last night I was playing with a friend and we kept getting on the same team, my team constantly won I do wish that you could pick teams, but I guess at the same time its neat playing against your friends cause that way at the end of the game you can tease them because you got a sweet headshot on them lol
I'm glad I bought the collectors Edition of this game, the extra map is definately worth the few extra bucks I payed for the game!

I have noticed that almost every game does not allow you to make a party and then search for a game on xbox live like Halo 2 did. For me Halo 2 hit the nail on the head for matchmaking, it had its downfalls and its bugs, but at least I could play with my friends and not with a load of randoms all the time.
I think the missing feature of getting a party of friends together to do player or ranked matches is the reason I do not play multiplayer much anymore.

I put it in our store kiosk yesterday. It's gone over pretty well. I would rather run an official 360 demo disc but we haven't had a new one in forever. I would have liked to have seen more downloadable kiosk content, lots of people come in asking about it.

Ever heard of the Halo 3 Beta?

Yep, ill be in it, but I thought we was on about the actual game. I wont play the beta as a proper game anyway because I will be looking for bugs and such to try and get them sorted out for the proper release. Should be fun though.

I doubt there's going to be any actual bugs, I think their doing the beta to try and find weird exploits that only a few will find, like that "dummying" crap that went on in the early Halo 2 days. The beta is being done more so to stop people from buying PS3s than anything IMO.

IMO the beta is being done to test network latency during mass gameplay more than anything. Testing now could detect and correct lag issues before release.
The idea it would/could stop sales of PS3's or sell more 360's based on a beta is nonsense.
This is a Lost Planet thread anyway.

OK, one last thing about that, the beta is just to test the whole multi player, be it network latency, bugs, glitches or anything.
Back on topic, I have played the Lost Planet demo and just found the aiming a bit weird, I don't know if this is another demo that does not truly reflect the game like the saints row demo.
