Now we know why we havent seen a single thing since E3 05, its compiled all into this one presentation.
Kudos to Guerrilla and Sony for zero leaks on this.

If Killzone 1 hadn't sucked I'd consider trying it on my friends machine.

Don't have access to the website from work unfortunately. I have no doubt the game will look great but we'll have to wait and see if the gameplay and story are an improvement compared to the original.

I loved the original. Favorite online FPS to date.

I wasn't a big fan. This could have been limitations with the PS2 but compared to other shooters I had played prior to and during its time of release, the AI seemed very scripted, the controls were a bit off for me and it just didn't have the high production values I look for in a FPS.
I love "great" FPS games and I will admit my standards are very high in this genre. I'm not saying this wasn't a good game I am just saying it takes a lot to impress me in this genre. If it doesn't measure up to the the classic FPS franchises out there like Goldeneye, Halo, Rainbow Six (not Lockdown which I thought sucked!!) and others I just can't enjoy playing it.
Just my thoughts. Hopefully the PS3 will be able to bring a better overall experience with this one. I am hoping it's not all flash and no substance.

I simply enjoyed it because it kept me interested the whole way through. Now if Red Faction II was online, there would have been no debate on what would be my favorite online shooter - RFII takes the cake.

July 10 is when it will be shown, and now to only select journalists.

God I cannot wait for this game, I am beginning to play the first one again just because I miss it, heh.

How convenient. Now they can show it only to those they know will be full of praise. Why don't they show it to everyone at the same time, and have all the good and bad things be pointed out like it should be...oh wait, I know why, cause that's why they killed E3 to begin with, cause they were tired of independent, free-minded people being able to see and judge games for themselves. Now we just get to hear PAID OFF reviewers drool all over a game no one has seen. The smoke and mirrors are in full force at E3 2007, just like everyone knew they would be when the real E3 got its throat slit last summer after Sony's train wreck.

Why personally attack me? I know I have single-handedly handed Sony their ass countless times via my site, but that's no need to attack me on a public forum. :)

So sites like Gamespot, Kotaku, and Joystiq are all of sudden paid off by Sony? You and you're silly conspiracy theories.

Kotaku and Joystiq aren't. Sony already blackballed Kotaku once (http://www.unscleric.com/news/2007/03/01/sony-blackballs-kotakucom/), and they have had their paid-off bloggers from ThreeSpeech attack Joystiq on MajorNelson's latest show as well.
Sony can't ignore all of the bloggers anymore.
"Sony has continued with their horrid attitude and business tactics in 2007. These are the same tactics that killed both E3 and Lik-Sang.
E3 was killed due to independent blogs like Joystiq and Kotaku (among many others) reporting things as they are. Major gaming sites like IGN and GameSpot will always be nice with their previews at shows like E3, and that is the kind of controlled space that Sony likes. What Sony (along with EA Games) did not like, was that there were bloggers running all over E3, giving honest thoughts on what they saw and played at E3. Sony could not buy these people off (or make them up like they do for their movie reviews) so they just took their ball and went home, effectively killing E3 since Sony is still somehow a major player in the gaming industry. As has been reported before, the “new E3″ which will now happen in the summer instead of May, will be an invite-only affair, and this is so Sony can pick and choose who sees what…basically, this is what you have to do when you can’t compete on an even field with your competitors."

Hannity and Colmes are paid shills for the new world order, what do they have to do with independent gaming press?

It's hilarious how you think EA and Sony are solely responsible for the downsizing of E3. Many other developers and publishers felt the costs were getting to high for the event. More importantly, attendees were complaining about the size. If you hadn't noticed, E3 had turned into nothing more than a circus over the last several years. That mad stampede to the Wii kiosks last year proved how out of control the event really was. Changes needed to be made and placing the blame solely on EA and Sony's doorstep is completely asinine.

I'd agree with that. All my views are based on a love for the industry and what it stands for, so yes, my views are heavily skewed towards what is good for gaming (aka Sony leaving it).

your wrong..because what's good for the industry is good competition..thus making each company stay on their toes and not complacent..if one company is the best then they don't have to work as hard in their next iteration of consoles...thus making the industry crappy... so you are wrong...you views are based not on love but of hate of Sony...so it's not what's best for the industry but what's best for you..

You seem to turn a blind eye when it comes to the Xbox 360's hardware problems. It's not good for MS or gamers when people are going through 5 or more 360's. I would think that you'd be a little more concerned about those issues if your views are indeed based on the love for the industry.

You don't think Sony is replaceable? They are not competition for MS in my eyes. Their only form of competition towards MS is half-ass copying and cheapshots through their various media outlets.
I would rather have Nintendo, Sega, Apple, etc. lead the gaming industry than Sony.

again..personal opinion..Apple and Sega aren't viable...Nintendo is in a different echelon to itself...MS's only viable competition is Sony..and about this copying bs...MS copied a ton of things from the dreamcast...you find nothing wrong with that...you need to take the fanboy glasses off and look in the mirror...

The trailer is now online. I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed. I didn't think it was going to look as good as it does.

Impressions from the preview event yesterday are coming back pretty positive at this point. I have read some state that the level showed off felt kind of linear but from a visuals standpoint they are all saying that it looks great. Not quite up to the infamous E3 2005 trailer but still quite good.
I haven't seen the trailer yet due to being at work...I will check it out tonight. Unfortunately, this one is quite a ways off.

I watched it and I think the game looks great visually. It reminded me of, dare I say it, Resistance. That's not a bad thing it just that some of scenes with lighting in the sky looked like RFOM.
The one thing that really has yet to be seen is the AI and more on the gameplay elements. If it's just a pretty shooter than that is all it is. Being pretty is only the first step.
I also have to say I thought COD 4 Modern Combat character models look a bit crisper and better IMHO. Although I think they have come a long way on KZ2 I have to say that I didn't have any moments watching the trailer when I said "Wow, I have to buy a PS3 for that game!". I know that's what Sony is betting on.
