In my opinion this game is highly addictive!! I had fun playing it..

The achievements are easy to get but it does take sometime to play this game since it is part strategy. I found at time it can be quite repetetive with the action and sayings but it is a great hack and slash game as well. I like the edit mode where you can create your own officers.

You can get through it quicker if you have someone helping you out as player 2...

Here are some tips that I figured out, if you decide to play the game:

1. You can get all of the achievements on any level of game play from novice to chaos

2. Play a Gathering of Heros scenario. Set the officer level to max that way you can fill up the board while working on the officer achievement. At first you can only select "many." To be able to select "max" start the scenario, save it, then exit to main menu (you don't have to complete it). Start a new game, same scenario and you can select max, just save over the first one.

3. With the officer achievements you will want to hire the ones that DO NOT have the word "get" next to their name. If it has "get" next to their name that means you have already gotten this officer. There are 250 total different officers. Of Course while getting them you will want to keep some to build your armys. Some of the officers can be quite hard to get, everyone has there price, and may refuse to join you at first. You will need to develop and produce numerous items.

4. To get weapons such as juggernauts and wood oxes you have to have certain Generals in your army. Example: Get Zhuge Liang and Yue Ying (apparently they are married), after your first invasion you will see a scene where Yue Ying tells Zhunge Liang that she built these weapons for him (short version). After that you will be able to purchase these under tactics. This is the only 2 I have found so far but I am looking for others.

5. you must save the game before each achievement is unlocked.

6. In order to get level 4 weapons for your officers, you must have all smiths maxed out at level 5 then you will need to enter a battle and defeat 500 enemies. I say all smiths because each officer carries a different weapon.

**Happy Gaming**

I had it, but traded it in, I've always like the DW series but they really aren't doing anything new, that's what's making me mad. Since they didn't really do anything with the graphics they could have at least made it co-op online, throw a certain number of enemies on a level, or infinite enemies or what ever, they could have had a leaderboard, they could have just done something new, instead of the same old stuff

You know they are comming out with a Samurai Warriors 2 Empires I wonder if that will be any good...

Samurai Warriors 2 had almost a Dynasty feel but with a different premise. I liked the storyline but felt it is too long....

samurai warriors was exactly like DW, it was made by the same people if I'm not mistaken, but I think it will be the same hack n slash we seen before

My fiancee enjoys these types of games. I enjoy it and "S Warriors" when I want to do mindless hack n slash.
