How would you like to be notified of new things in the Marketplace? Email, website or a simple flashing of the Blade or categories when you go into the Marketplace from your dashboard?

Other ideas about being notified?

yep there's an RSS feed. i'm interested in seeing how people who aren't into the latest RSS's and such want to be notified. i think a console notification system would be great.

I think when you select the marketplace blade and select say themes and gamerpics it should have a notice somehow there. Or maybe on xbox.com have a forum "non posting one"showing whats new for that week on the marketplace and what the price is.

I thought there was a console notification system in place already. Marketplace blade has a spot for new stuff right? I mean its not like you are going to be online at the exact time they add stuff so I you'd turn on your console and get a bunch of popups about it.

there's no notification until you go into whichever category you go to and click on new arrivals. but my suggestion would be to simply have an icon on the categories when something new is there or even have that particular category flashing or glowing etc.

something small....and something a user could opt on/off.

I wouldnt want any notifications until their prices meet actual market standards.

I prefer RSS feeds myself. Have tons of industry sites/blogs in my aggregator. If you're looking for a good RSS reader try google reader. Integrates well with google personalized home very well.

I have a question regarding marketplace though. In the marketplace blade there is usually a section with advertisements, though for me it has never been populated by anything other than a blank square.

Does anyone else have this problem, or are there advertisements for them?

I think a blade flashing would be great or they can message you via the XBox like they did when live was going down.
