I would hope most of you know what game I am talking about. There really is only one game in the next two years that could run with Halo3. I decided instead of my rant, I would ask folks tell me what they thought.
Of the current mess, what title would say ends Halo's run as the XBOX platform title.

Halo had a killer, it was Halo 2.
Halo 2's killer is of course Halo 3.
Not so sure Halo 3's killer is Halo Wars though.

Blah Halo Wars, in terms of this genre I wish MS would of released anything from the AOE, ROR, AOK series instead.
As for the Halo killer, I must be the only person.... I think if UT3 delivers match making and party's it has the most potential...
I am a little upset I have beta every UT game until this one :(

Just as long as UTIII is not as retarded in terms of online as Unreal Champ 2. 8 players in a damn Unreal game was just bullshit. The original UC may had suffered from lag, but damn at least they had crowded rooms.

I don't know any particular game that will kill Halo 3 (Huxley might be a good candidate on the FPS front) but I know which genre it will come from.
The Halo killer on the 360 will be a MMO game with a persistent world, probably an rpg.
Persistent MMO rules all.

Honestly, nothing will ever become the Halo killer. As far as teh 360 is concerned no other game will touch it from a sales perpective or number of users playing it on Live once it hits. This could change next generation but for now Halo is king and will be for quite some time.

UC2 was a different type of Unreal game. It was a mix of third person action and shooting so 8 players was just right. Unreal Tournament 3, which is supposed to ship this year, will be a more traditional Unreal game so you can bet we'll be seeing at least 20+ player battles online.

Then dont put the Unreal name in it if its going to feature less than 16 players ;)
