No I still don’t have one but I know a lot of you out there listen in to U360 via your Zune so I wanted to share the news that TV shows have made their way to the Zune with the latest Spring update. You can now choose from more than 800 episodes of popular television series to download and watch on your computer or Zune, including COMEDY CENTRAL’s “South Park,” FUNimation’s “Afro Samurai” and “Witchblade,” MTV’s “The Hills,” NBC’s “The Office,” “Heroes” and “30 Rock,” and much, much more!

Each television show will be priced at 160 Microsoft Points per episode (approximately $1.99) at launch. With more than 3.5 million tracks, two-thirds of which are available in pure MP3 format, 800 television shows, 4,800 music videos and 3,500 audio and video podcasts, the Zune online store is a great place for consumers to find the entertainment content they want.
“Partnering with Zune will allow us to develop innovative content offerings for their customers, including flexible pricing and packaging options beginning this fall,” said JB Perrette, president of NBC Universal Digital Distribution. “NBC Universal is excited to offer our hit television shows to Zune customers.”
I’m going to get a Zune Original at some point so it’s good to see the Zune Marketplace expanding especially when it includes one of my favorite TV shows, Heroes. It’ll be great watching Peter lay the smack down on Sylar while I’m riding the train home or flying out to an event. Anyone have a spare Zune Original?
It took some time but the show is finally in the Zune Marketplace for you all to subscribe to. (those of you with Zune software and Zune devices ofcourse) It’s listed under Entertainment > Gaming as U360. It has an old logo and doesn’t come up in any search when using the keyword unscripted but that’s ok. I’m sure it’ll update soon.
The podcast title got a personal touch somehow as it’s listed as ”DeaconBlade”. Yes, I Am Legend. (smile)

Thanks to Pzul and Duncan at Xbox for the help in getting the show listed. If you have a Zune be sure to subscribe to the show so you don’t miss any of the fun! You can click the Zune icon below to subscribe or use this link to subscribe.
The new family of Zune media players and services are scheduled to debut tomorrow including a first for the big ‘Z’ in device customization. Consumers will have the option to customize their Zune player with laser-engraved designs and personal text through a new Web store called Zune Originals.
You can personalize and purchase your Zune directly from Microsoft at the Zune Originals store. This goes live tomorrow and you’ll be able to choose from a collection of laser-engraved artwork designed exclusively for Zune by 18 internationally recognized artists.

“We’re bringing the entire category to the next level by empowering consumers to play a role in redefining the digital music experience,” said J Allard, corporate vice president for Zune. “Zune brings music discovery and acquisition into one simple, end-to-end solution, and the addition of unique customization options puts the originality back into portable entertainment.”
Zune fanatics will also get the first taste of Zune Social, an online music community. They’re really trying to make it a Zune world. If you want to know more about the goodies, head to www.zune.net.
Don’t forget that with the new devices and free software updates come new podcast support. You can subscribe to U360 on your Zune with this link! Once you update your software…simply launch the new Zune software, click on Collection, click on Add A Podcast, and enter the link. It’s easy.
I hope to be a part of the Zune social soon if I can manage to score a win in the various Zune contests I’ve entered. Wish me luck!
I told you I’d be giving more coverage of the 360’s little musical cousin, the Zune. If you remember, the new 80 gig and 8 gig models are due next month and before their release, these new accessories will be available. I’m already debating on shattering my daughter’s piggy bank to grab one so I can finally get my taste of Zune and these new goodies.
The list of new partners providing accessories for the Zune include 3rd-party entries from Altec Lansing Techologies, Agent 18, Belkin and many more. And the new goodies include a new AV pack ($99.99), Altec Lansing Speaker Dock ($99.99), and a Belkin Sport Armband ($29.99) for the runner in you. You can check out the entire list of new digs coming at the official press release here.
“Zune is committed to providing customers with choice,” said Scott Erickson, senior director of product management for Zune. “In addition to offering choice among Zune media players, we have also enhanced our accessories program to ensure that Zune users can choose from a robust line of high-quality accessories.”
I’m off now to see exactly how much little piggy has on the necessary $250 I need for the 80gig Zune.

There are quite a few of you who keep emailing me to include information on the Zune from time to time so I shall comply because it just makes sense. I’ll share whatever I can come up with about the Xbox 360’s little music cousin as I like to call it. I’ve yet to get my hands on one but if I were to purchase one now, then I’m really glad to see new options coming this November.
The new flavors of the Zune come in 3 distinct models including a sleek, black Zune 80GB hard-drive model ERP $249.99; the ultraportable Zune 4GB ERP $149.99; and a Zune 8GB ERP $199.99 flash model, both available in pink, green, black and glossy red. A cool addition to the Zune if you can make it out in the image below is the inlcusion of podcast support. I’m sure that’ll make you U360 Zune heads happy!
Find out more about the new Zune at Zune.net. I don’t have an mp3 player so I’m on the road to deciding. Zune or iPod, that’s what I need to figure out. I love the design of the Zune much better and that’s usually a key for me. Stay tuned for more Zuneocity in the future.
Here’s some news for the Unscripted crowd that have been following the news on Microsoft’s Zune. Today an official press release rolled out detailing the launch of Zune. It will launch in the US on November 14th and at a price of $249.99. The press release includes information about the Zune Marketplace in which you’ll be able to purchase a Zune Pass for $14.99/month which gives you access to millions of songs.

Also, which I thought was very cool integration, is the fact that you can purchase songs for 79 Microsoft Points per track. These points are becoming more valuable by the day aren’t they.
How much $ is 79 Microsoft Points? (shout to bigsteve for the unofficial converter)
