Happy Mother’s & Gamer Mom’s Day from U360! Today is the day that I encourage every gamer out there to grab his or her mom and shower them with lots of love. And if your mom is into gaming, grab her for some fun with The Bourne Conspiracy demo on Xbox Live. Don’t tell her that I put you up to that.

I just wanted to wish all the mothers and gamer moms out there a happy day today. TriXie, Dangerdoll, kiki kat, Mocha Jive and all my gaming moms out there. Game the day away ladies!
“Game The Day Away” Suggestions
Rock Band - grab the kids and have some fun with drums, microphone and a guitar
Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action- trivia fun with cool big button pads for everyone
Xbox Live Arcade - a lot of family co-op fun in the Arcade
With the release of Grand Theft Auto IV and all of the attention it has been receiving about its content, I wanted to visit the ESRB rating system to help shed some light on the uninformed. There are quite a few different ratings a game can receive. E (Everyone), E10+ (Everyone 10+), T (Teen), M (Mature) and a few more. I’ve had a few parents approach me asking for my opinion on buying the game for their 13 or 14 year old kid and I was really surprised at my response. I told them that I wouldn’t recommend it. I wouldn’t allow my daughter to play it even if she were 13 or 14 so I responded with that in mind.
There are some things in the game that even I had to ask if it was too much. Controversy is what this game has been about and apparently that’s not going to change. GTA IV is rated Mature. Let’s look into the game and break down its rating shall we?

Happy Monday. It’s Cinco de Mayo. Today is the day to celebrate our friends of Mexican heritage and to celebrate the return of Monday FTW! Ever since Microsoft decided to hand out some rather embarassing punishment for those out there who have cheated the Gamerscore system, it’s been a stir across the internet. If you remember an earlier post here at U360, cheaters were branded with a virtual Scarlet letter “C” for their cheating ways. I don’t understand the need to cheat at games or boost your score. Virtual bragging rights on who has the biggest virtual set of “pecans” is nothing of interest to me so you’ll never find me cheating. I can haz gamesaving skillz?

If you’ve ever wondered how this whole thing erupted, then prepare to wonder no more. I was sent this story by JD Buck a few weeks ago of an admitted cheater who contacted JD. It’s a story of a gamer surrounding his involvement in “gamesaving”. He drops dimes on other cheaters and the process behind the cheating. I thought it would be an interesting read for you guys and girls. I’m sure Microsoft is well aware of the “circle” and if not, then I hope this does some good to rid the Xbox 360 of this gamesaving nonsense.
GamerchiX continue to take over the world reaching the 5,000 member mark recently in under 2 years. I want to send a big shout out to TriXie, DirtyDiva and PMS Kitty for bringing an amazing mixture of gamers together. I’ve been a big supporter of the GamerchiX and for those of you who don’t know, they’re responsible for creating the “Velvet Voice” tag that you’ve heard from time to time. They also inspired one of the 360 Laws and its subsequent Gamerpic in Picture Pack #2. (TGR #17)
I’ve been a big supporter of the program and the ladies involved. You can listen in on the GamerchiX before the huge success on Episode #50 here at U360. They’ve been on several shows and places here, especially TriXie, as I hold a special place in my gaming heart for them. (drops tear) Again, big shout out to the ladies and I hope at some point you find a chiX in Antartica to make it a complete worldwide sweep!

Ok, so maybe I’m a little too excited about this weekend’s NFL Draft but so what! In honor of that, I figured I’d make an Xbox 360 Draft for a little bit of fun. I know you guys and girls love unique content here so here’s another cup of it. I’ll be the Commissioner naturally and I’ll be announcing the top picks in this year’s Xbox 360 Draft. Who will be the #1 overall pick this year? How will each team look to fill their needs? Where will Marcus Fenix out of COG Town College go? Will Niko Bellic out of Grand Theft University be the difference maker this year? This draft may reshape the foundation of gaming as we know it.
Welcome to the 2008 Xbox 360 Draft!
Commissioner - DeaconBlade 360
Teams (not in order of selection) - Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Sierra, SCEA (Expansion), Microsoft Game Studios, 2K Games / 2K Sports, Capcom, Nintendo and more.
View each selection on the following pages now.
It’s time for another sprinkling of that magical TriXie Dust courtesy of my BFF over at Xbox.com, TriXie. While I was at the Bad Company community event, she dug into her bag of goodies and pulled out 10 Xbox Live Arcade redeem codes for Namco’s Mr. Driller Online. There’s nothing like saving 800 Microsoft Points eh? Of course I kept one for myself, so that means I have nine (9) to find for Mr. Driller Online. (my rhyme skills are awesome)
Which of you shall make up the nine I must find for some Xbox Live Arcade drilling online? (I’m on a roll with my rhyme skills) All you have to do is leave a comment as usual or send me a message via Xbox Live to be one of the nine. I’ll announce the winners this week on the show!

Happy Monday everyone. The hunt begins today! I told you that I’d take care of my U360 peeps so here are some clues to help you at least get 5 of the Achievements unlocked. The degree of difficulty ranges. I have to play by the rules so don’t hate me if the clues are too hard. Judging from the stat screens I peeped this morning, you guys are way ahead of me and don’t even need these clues.
Clues to Unlock The Achievements on U360
- Look for more knowledge on the guy who started the event and you’ll find your Achievement.
- You always remember your first. Find mine and you’ll get what you came for.
- Sit beside me and enforce the 360 Laws.
- I check on you guys and girls because I care so I left this Achievement behind.
- I got ninety-nine problems and finding this Achievement ain’t one.
Here’s the icon to look for.

Ready for another search & rescue hunt? U360 is part of a community wide scavenger hunt called Unlock The Achievement that’s set to benefit both gamers and charity alike. All you have to do is find the most “Achievements” hidden across all of the partner sites. There are 5 hidden within each partner site. Be sure to register at Unlock The Achievement so your progress can be tracked.
Good luck and godspeed to all of you happy little hunters from U360. I’ll be rooting for ya! (and no I can’t tell you where the hidden Achievements for U360 will be) But you know me…I’ll give some hints if I can. I realize it may be a heavy task to pillage so many sites. Anyway, read below for more details on the event.

I’ll be flying to EA Studios tonight to get some hand’s on time and get dirty with Battlefield: Bad Company. I’m going deep into the foxhole for a few days to get some alone time with the game and find out exactly what the hell happened with the on/off again weapon charge fiasco. Not really but I will hopefully find out some new things going on with Bad Company.

I’m not sure how much time I’ll be able to spend with the Producers and Developers but let me know if there’s anything you want me to try and dig up. I’ve tried the MP Beta for the game and I enjoyed it. The happy face grenades were easily the highlight for me. It’ll be good to get some more hand’s on time with the game to see how it’s stacking up before its June release.
I’ll also try to do some updating along the way. If you don’t see anything from me over the next few days, just know that I was too deep into some Bad Company. I should be able to post something though. I’m pretty good at making time to update my peeps. I won’t get back to Dallas until late Saturday so there won’t be a live show. But there may be a small surprise that I’m trying to work out with EA during the event so stay tuned…you may get a live show from EA Studios if things go as planned.
