I was reminded about this early this morning while trying to catch up on some Lost Odyssey. Turok got five (5) new maps a few days ago. You’ll have to dish out 400 Microsoft Points. (which is what other developers should strive for) The new maps (and variations) are called Co-Op, Desolation, Sentinel, Inconclusive Tests, and A Rivarly Continues. You can check out a description of each below.

“Turok has captured the imagination of video game players throughout the world,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Touchstone. “We’re now able to expand the multiplayer experience with the release of new maps. These five new maps are sure to satisfy Turok players who are hungry for more multiplayer challenges.”
Touchstone and Propaganda Games continue the countdown to Turok’s release with another video detailing the making of the game.
“Awakening The Giants: The Making of Turok” includes never-before-seen footage of gameplay and developer interviews with Propaganda Games. The documentary series is directed and narrated by video game industry veteran journalist Victor Lucas of Greedy Productions, the series’ production company.
February 5th is fast approaching so get your dinosaur fill while you wait.

Here’s a cool video I got last night. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the development process of the upcoming game, Turok. It takes you through the early stages of the game to the more recent footage we’ve been seeing. This kind of inside look into games is always interesting.
The time is almost near for us all to practice our dinosaur killing skills. Take a look at how the characters, environment and mayhem all came to be.

Our good buddy Major Nelson has details on a Turok demo available in the Xbox Live Marketplace today for just about every country except North America. I’m sure this has something to do with the fact that US OXM subscribers and buyers get an exclusive Turok demo in the February 2008 issue of the magazine.
For the boys and girls in North America, you can opt to purchase the latest OXM for a bit of Turok fun or simply wait for the game to try it. All other gamers across the world enjoy it today!

It’s almost dinosaur mauling time and to get you even more prepared for the return of Turok, check out the Xbox 360 box art for the game. Touchstone and Propaganda Games are bringing a next generation twist to the series and from what I’ve seen, it looks like my kind of action.

Ever ask yourself how dinosaurs really became extinct long ago? I think maybe the Touchstone team knew and decided to make a video about it. It turns out they were mauled, sliced and blown up by Turok and his hunter friends. If you don’t believe me, I have video proof below.
On February 5, 2008 we’ll all get to rediscover and play a part in that extinction. I can’t wait for it. Dinosaur mauling ftw!

Ready to hunt some T-Rex? Don’t forget about Turok! I know there are loads of shooters that are available for the Xbox 360 but this one has just a little more to it than simply shooting. You all should know I’ve been scouting this game after listing it in my Best of PAX feature. Here’s a new Turok video from Touchtone featuring commentary from Josh Bridge, Lead Level Designer on the game.
There’s information about the gameplay, dinosaurs, AI and more. I can’t wait to do that cool “jump on the dinosaur and slice him” move again.

Turok is slated to release in February 2008.
Rock Band
Developer: Harmonix
Publisher: EA
Release date: Nov 2007

If lines for miles are any indication, I’d say that Rock Band was a highly sought after title during the show. Hundreds of fans stood in line for a chance to rock out on stage with the game. I had a few sessions of rockitude myself so I know why they stood there.
The Rock Band team put on an exclusive show for Unscripted 360 fans that even had the CEO of Harmonix rockin’ the stage. If you missed that, you can check it out here. I had my doubts about the “band” element in Rock Band but after trying it, it was clear that those doubts were pointless.
This game turns everyone into a rockstar! Click the next number to find out which other title made it into U360’s Best of PAX.
I got a media blast with these new screenshots from the next entry into the Turok series. I don’t care if I’m the only one psyched about this game! I loved Turok on the Xbox. I may have been the only one but I really enjoyed it. Turok on the Xbox 360 is looking amazing!
