There’s nothing like saying “Be My Valentine” than saying it with mutilated flesh and a foul smell.  Who doesn’t want a bit of blood and brains with their roses?  You can have the perfect zombie Valentine courtesy of the weird humor coming from the guys behind Techland’s Dead Island.  First they gave us a Zombie Holiday and now this.

You can send your own Zombie Valentine from http://www.deadislandgame.com.  (zombie not included)

Zombie Valentine

Tired of the usual merry Christmas cards?  There may be someone you’d rather scare this holiday season so Techland decided to help in that cause with Dead Island themed holiday cards.  Send your own Dead Island holiday e-postcard here.  Why do the usual for friends this year?  The site has a very cool take on Jingle Bells to listen to while you send your zombie cards.

Dead Island Holiday

Techland didn’t wait too long after the August 8 media storm introducing Dead Island to tease Xbox 360 fans with the first official trailer for the game.  Debuting at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, the Dead Island trailer reminded me of The Hills Have Eyes right at the end.  That’s a very good thing as I loved the Hills remake.  (the first one at least)

New screenshots for Dead Island were also revealed at GC 2007.  I have those ready to view.  I was hoping for some screenshots of the zombies or whatever threats there will be on the island but we’ll have to settle for environment shots.

Check out the video and screenshots below.

Techland is in the sharing mood and sent out a very cool video showcasing Warhound technology.  The entire footage is in-game which makes it that much more intriguing.  The video is called Episode 1: Interactive Outdoors Environments and hints at further episodes at the end.  Between this and Dead Island, Techland appears set to make a pretty big splash in 2008.

It seems like Techland is getting more familiar with the Xbox 360 and they’re letting it show with another interesting title headed our way.  Hot on the heels of the Warhound announcement here on U360, I bring to you Techland’s entry into the survival horror genre, Dead Island.

It’s a non-linear FPP (First Person Perspective) title that has peaked my interest.  It’s perhaps what LOST should have been.  There’s currently no publisher for the title so I hope it finds one soon so we can get more information about it.  I remember a time when we were all worried about the Xbox 360 and 2008.

I grabbed some more information about the story and what the features are lined up to be below.

For those unaware, Techland developed Call of Juarez.  There is a lot of info on this title from the press release so get your fill below.
