John Woo and Chow Yun Fat fans get ready for more fun with a downloadable map pack for Stranglehold. There’s no word when this new downloadable content will be available but it features 10 additional multiplayer maps ranging from the Kowloon Market to Wong’s Estate Grounds to the Rooftops of Chicago, as well as 21 all-new multiplayer character skins.
And for you achievement fiends out there, it will include 10 new achievements worth 250 gamerscore points. It’s coming soon so get ready. I haven’t had a chance to play this game but it looks like there’s more bang to it now.

As was reported first on U360, the Stranglehold demo arrives! You had no doubts did you? Prepare for some John Woo style action with this action thriller. Head out and download it now!

Get a hold of Stranglehold soon in the Xbox Live Marketplace. A demo for Midway Games’ Stranglehold is slated to appear on August 8th for download. Stranglehold allows players to experience exhilarating 3rd person next-gen action as you continue the story of John Woo’s influential action film Hard Boiled starring Chow Yun Fat.
I’m excited about trying this demo because the Max Payne-like sequences look incredible. I’m also a John Woo fan. You can check out a behind-the-scenes video of Stranglehold here on U360.

Midway is increasing the media blitz on Stranglehold (one of my Summer’s must-play titles) as we near its release. In the video you’ll see and hear interviews with members of the product development team, an audio session with the man himself, Chow Yun Fat and more!

A collaboration with world renowned action film director John Woo’s Tiger Hill Entertainment, Stranglehold allows players to experience the excitement of true next-gen action as you take on the role of Inspector Tequila created by John Woo for his influential action film, “Hard Boiled” starring Chow Yun-Fat. Ensnared by a crime boss with a gripping secret, Inspector Tequila is forced to cross the line from sworn duty to bloody revenge.
Get ready for some ass-kickin’ folks! Check out the behind-the-scenes below.
Midway is showing some love to Xbox 360 owners out there by announcing an exclusive Xbox 360 Collector’s Edition for Stranglehold. Is it worth the extra loot? You decide. Stranglehold is set to hit stores this August.

I know many of you have been wondering what’s next after the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta? What can Xbox 360 owners look forward to playing as the wait for September 25th begins? Here’s my rundown of titles that you can look forward to and some that you can head out to play right now (or again).
Forza Motorsport 2 - May 29

Racing fans around the globe have been eagerly anticipating the release of this sequel. It’s the Xbox 360’s premiere simulation racer so you know the goodies are packed within. Try playing it with the 360 wireless wheel for maximum experience.
Shadowrun PC/Xbox 360 - May 29

Hey you asked for something to do while you wait and this is a very viable option. If only for the PC to Xbox 360 play, Shadowrun is worth a test drive. The multiplayer has as good a chance as any game to be great especially considering it’s the only option available.
Midway let a few new screenshots out of the bag for the highly anticipated, 3rd person action game, Stranglehold, scheduled to ship Summer 2007. Experience the excitement of true next-gen action as you take on the role of Inspector Tequila from John Woo’s influential action film, “Hard Boiled” starring Chow Yun-Fat. Ensnared by a crime boss with a gripping secret, Inspector Tequila is forced to cross the line from sworn duty to bloody revenge. Engage your enemies with intense cinematic gun battles and cause massive environmental damage in real-time or revolutionary slow motion Tequila Time.
Not much has been shared about Stranglehold so it’s always good to see the media train rolling. I’ll try to get some more details on this title as the release approaches.

What will the year 2007 bring for Xbox 360 fans? Will there be another 3 million title seller this year as there was with 2006’s Untouchable of the Year winner, Gears of War?
I’ll give you a rundown of my 11 most anticipated releases this year. If you’re an Xbox 360 owner, then you’re in for a treat in 2007. If you’re not, then you should head out to the nearest retail store and hop on the train!
Halo 3 - With news circulating about the public beta of Halo 3, I believe the ball is just starting to roll with Halo 3 mania. What will the Master Chief aim to do in what has been billed as his final chapter? New weapons. New vehicles. It’s the story of Halo with the power of the 360 behind it and it will surely be a sight to see and an event to play. And I know everyone is itching to find out about this ‘X’ button that changes the way we play right?
BioShock - It was a dark, lonely night when I downloaded the BioShock trailer from X06. Since then, I’ve been counting the days until I would have the chance to play this underwater epic. 2K has already gone on record saying their focus is completely on delivering an outstanding single campaign/story. It better be one hell of a story to please all the multiplayer heads out there who won’t get to go head up against anyone on Xbox Live.

Midway today released a new trailer for the highly anticipated, 3rd person action game, Stranglehold. Scheduled to ship in Q1 2007, Stranglehold allows players to experience exhilarating 3rd person next-gen action as you continue the story of John Woo’s influential action film, Hard Boiled starring Chow Yun Fat. Run into danger with both fists full of lead and take down the organized crime bosses who stepped over the line when they took your family. Stop at nothing as you destroy the entire world around you to get them back. You are a desperate man following your own rules; honor thy family; do what’s right; fear no man.
This one is looking more and more like a must buy from my point of view.
