THQ’s Saint’s Row was quite honestly the first sandbox game that I enjoyed.  I’m not really sure why that is but I tried the Grand Theft Auto series and even True Crime but it wasn’t until Saint’s Row came that I found enjoyment in the genre.  Saint’s Row 2 is shaping up to be a worthy sequel judging from TXB’s recent posting of new screenshots.  Anyone else ready for the return of the gangstas in purple?

The next title in the award-winning Saints Row franchise is currently in development at internal studio Volition, Inc. and is scheduled to ship for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system in 2008. The game will utilize Volition’s proprietary open-world engine and deliver an all-new, cross platform gaming experience.

I’m sure everyone is busy getting gangsta with THQ’s Saint’s Row but I thought I’d peel your eyes away from the game for just a second to lay it on you about the first Saint’s Row DLC headed to the Marketplace.

According to Rated-M, the download pack is slated to appear on the Marketplace and in retail stores’ kiosks September 15.

THQ’s Saint’s Row releases Tuesday, August 29 nationwide.  Hopefully I can wrap up the THQ interview soon.  Some gamers already have the game.  This is the first game of its kind that has come to Xbox Live and I’ve heard some interesting discussion about the online aspect.

I plan to only play this game with friends as I fear what a random Quickmatch might bring.

I’m exciting to own the streets of Saint’s Row but I’m not too thrilled about what taking this game online might mean.

You’ve played the demo and now you’re ready to get gangsta with THQ’s Saint’s Row right? Well before you do that, Unscripted 360 is going to give you a chance to ask the team behind Saint’s Row the questions you have yet to get answered.

That’s right.  U360 is geared up for an interview with THQ on Saint’s Row. The game releases this month so if you snooze, you lose as far as getting your questions answered. So if there is something you haven’t heard, something you want cleared up…post them or email them to U360 and if they’re good, you can bet your AK-47 that they’ll be included in the interview.

I know the word has trickled around but for those @ U360 who may have missed it, the Saint’s Row demo for the Marketplace has a confirmed time.  I previously posted the date but now you have yourselves a time.
