Yep, that’s right.  When this game first launched in December 2006, I wanted very much to download the full version.  It was really a lot of fun but I didn’t get around to buying that full 800 points version.  Starting tomorrow, it’ll be a more manageable price at just 400 Microsoft Points!  It’s debuting as an Xbox Live Arcade Hits tomorrow along with DOOM.  Both will be priced at a reduced 400 Microsoft Points.

Assault Heroes 2

If you haven’t tried the demo, then download this puppy and give it a spin.  You should do that soon especially considering the announcement of Assault Heroes 2.

I will admit that I had my doubts on this XBLA title when it released but after playing quite a bit of it this past weekend, I’m now an N+ fan.  The animations of the ninja are done rather well and it has co-operative play with up to 3 other friends.  It also has Xbox Live play as well as a level editor!  How much more awesome do you need?  It’s one of Xbox Live Arcade’s most enjoyable puzzle platformers if not the most enjoyable.

Who knew playing a stick figured ninja jumping around trying to escape would be so much fun?  With over 300 levels, this one is well worth the 800 Microsoft Points.

N+

Judging from the sexy box art, I knew Burnout Paradise had the potential to kick serious amounts of hindparts.  So it’s no surprise that it’s filling up gamer central with tons of fun already.  That’s exactly why it secures a spot as the Play of the Week for U360 drivers out there.

I’ve yet to make my way onto the tracks to cause massive chaos but that shouldn’t stop any of you from dishing out any adrenaline-filled punishment Burnout style.

Burnout Paradise

I played this game last night for 10 minutes and it was enough to convince me that it was Play of the Week material.  Creating myself in the game was enough fun to warrant such a thing.  I created Deacon Shepard, an Earth-born hybrid type of guy who survived the streets to become the bad ass solider he was meant to be.

It gave me the feeling that I was in for an amazing ride and that’s what I love in a game.  The opening sequence of Call of Duty 4 did the same thing.  I felt a rush when I started Mass Effect last night.  Be on the lookout for a review of this puppy soon.  It looks like I finally have a story worth giving a damn about.

Mass Effect

I don’t have it but there’s no mistaking the hype surrounding Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.  Infinity Ward returns to the series and this time they take it to a different era.  Are you ready for modern warfare, perks and crazy multiplayer action?

If you have it, smile at the fact that you’re playing U360’s Play of the Week game.  And that totally makes you famous in a not-really-famous kind of way.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Punk tried to kill the metal! I’ve been shredding guitar for the past week or so and having this as the Play of the Week was a no-brainer.  If you have it, make sure you set some time aside to rock out this week especially during the Guitar Hero 3 Play & Win weekend coming up.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

While you’re preparing to rock, check out the launch party that went down here in Dallas this past weekend.  There was a 4-year old throwing down on expert that literally blew my mind.  Witness his rock below!

This weekend I finally got some time to dig into The Orange Box and you can tell from this article that there’s at least one gem inside.  Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 are both very good but the game that stands out amongst them all is Portal.  I talked about it a bit during Episode #51 because it’s just that much fun.

I’ll be checking out more of Team Fortress 2 this week so stay tuned for a possible Unscripted Nights with it!  In the meantime, check out the Play of the Week, Portal, if you have a copy of The Orange Box.  The aperture gun, creating portals and solving puzzles is incredibly addictive.

Portal

I’m hesitant to recommend this one due to the complaints I’ve received and heard about “suspect” behavior but due to the fact that I’ll be logging some hours this week, I’m listing it as the Play of the Week.

I want to get together with friends on this one so let me know if you’re up for some Call of Duty 4 Mutliplayer Beta action this week.  I know DDB are up for it.

Call of Duty 4

Yep.  The Play of the Week is a demo.  I’ve had a lot of fun with this game.  I still can’t seem to finish the ice run though.  If you haven’t downloaded this demo, then head out to the Xbox Live Marketplace and get it.  It’s one of the treats from E3 2007.  Can you pull off the perfect stunt sequence?

Stuntman: Ignition

There are several titles that could’ve made it as this week’s Play of the Week but I chose The Darkness.  This might be a wise choice considering the hundreds of searches going on for the differences between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.  I almost went with Overlord especially considering that I’ve learned there is some form of camera control but I stuck with old Jackie Estacado to deliver some fun for us all this week.

Look for me online if you’re not afraid to step into the dark with me.  I just hope the multiplayer experience isn’t the afterthought that I’ve heard ramblings of.  But then, I’m a single campaign kind of guy so it wouldn’t bother me much.
