There are 6 new characters headed to NBA STREET Homecourt for download in the Xbox Live Marketplace. Biggs, Drake and Bonafide are a few names. It’s premium content so be prepared to dish out some Microsoft Points for these. I’m not sure when the characters will be ready for download but judging by the release of the other content in the announcement, it should be soon.

Electronic Arts announced that NBA STREET Homecourt ships to retailers today on the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system. Although it shipped today, don’t expect it in stores until Feb. 22. (PS3 release March 6 and the game will be available in Europe on March 23)

A downloadable Xbox 360 demo is already available, with additional game content being created exclusively for download on Xbox Live® Marketplace post-launch, including two free bonus courts.

Up until Feb 23, a new video clue will be released. Each clue reveals progressively more about which court it is. The earlier you guess correctly, the better your chance of winning. So head out to see the videos and get your guess in.

You won’t find these screenshots anywhere and that’s because no one else took more elbows in the paint or wore more headbands than I did. When the vault was unlocked and I unwrapped the package, all I could do was smile and say “Hell yeah…this is STREET next-gen baby!” EA Canada is definitely set to bring the noise.
