It was an eventful weekend here in Dallas. The madness surrounding the Super Bowl has officially begun and the city has been infiltrated with the likes of Packers and Steelers fans. I’m not a fan of either team obviously so I couldn’t care any less about who will win on Sunday. But what I do care about is the freeze that’s coming this way that will ruin an otherwise awesome week for visitors.
How many of you will be tuned in to the Super Bowl? I won’t. I’ll probably be playing some Bulletstorm demo because it seriously rocks! Skill kills are the shiznit ladies and gentlemen. If you do nothing else this week, make sure you download and play the demo. I didn’t have as much fun as I thought I did but I did have one hell of a good time. It’ll definitely be in my arsenal when it releases especially considering the fact that it has the Gears of War 3 beta on it.
Outside of seeing my city invaded, I didn’t do much other than a little gaming. My brother managed to get one of those ridiculousy modified shotguns and shields in Borderlands so despite my armory run being glitched by an unnamed person, I’ll still be able to beat Crawmerax on my own and farm some weapons without depending on this unnamed person.
Hope you all have a good week!
Hello Unscripted 360….I’m back! Well I wasn’t actually missing but I’m back from a much needed vacation over the new year. It’s 2011 and I’m ready to get this show going again in another exciting year. Are you with me? Of course you are…you better be!
Here’s a new year goodie for you all to digest. It’s the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit review from Gaming After Five. I know quite a few of you are into mobile gaming and where better to get an awesome take on mobile gaming than GA5. I put these videos on the front page as well to highlight the other areas of gaming that we’re all interested in.
In regards to Hot Pursuit on the iPhone and iPod Touch, I believe we’re gearing up for a community event on Xbox Live with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for the Xbox 360. I’ll get with Dangerdoll on the date for this.

Happy Monday everyone and I hope that you’ll have a lot to be thankful for this week. It’s turkey week and many of us will be celebrating ThanksGiving Day with a lot of cranberry sauce. I hope though that we’re all thankful each day and not just this week.
I saw Harry Potter this weekend and well I’m just not into the movies anymore. I don’t know what it is about the Potter movies but they just stopped being entertaining after the second or third one. I thought this latest one was a bore. It was a long drawn out walk through insignificance because Part 2 is releasing next year. So it ended with no resolve. I’m sure there are plenty who enjoyed it though if the $125 million it took in is any judge.
I did have some fun eating pellets and ghosts in Pac-Man Championship Edition DX. The game is a blast! I also forked over the points for Shank because it had co-op and I have kids over who needed something fresh to play. So we broke out the shivs and tried to “shank” people.
I also got around to trying a Smashburger and it was YUMMY to my tummy! Smash fries are perhaps the single greatest creation in french fries.
GO DJ, cause that’s my DJ! Okay, so one of my friends over at Guitar Hero/RedOctane sent a DJ Hero bundle my way this weekend. I made a remark that I wasn’t at all too impressed with it so I never had much interest in playing it. So of course they suggested that I at least try it. And so I did.
DJ Hero is a lot of damn fun! There I said it. Who would’ve thought right? You mean to tell me that this ridiculous concept and even more ridiculous turntable plastic piece is actually fun? Yep, that’s exactly what I’m saying. I was a mixing, scratching and crossfading fool this weekend. I was getting my DJ on with mixes of MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice, Rihanna, Tupac etc. The mixes were absolutely sick!

What’s up boys and girls? It’s Monday so you know that means another shot of Monday Morning Scripted for you to digest. It’s the time when I go over the cool things (or not so cool things) that went on during the weekend and are slated for the coming week. First up, I tried Redbox for the first time. I was with someone and she suggested we “redbox” it so I did. It was pretty easy I guess but not something I’d continue to do. I can see why Blockbuster has implemented their own little box around town.
I say Salt with Angeline Jolie at the Studio Movie Grill here in Dallas. It was my first time at the place and I enjoyed it. I’m doing a lot of “firsts” lately and going to the Studio Movie Grill is now one of the things I can scratch off my list. Dinner while you’re in the movie is total win.
I didn’t get a chance to go to the Halo: Reach event at GameStop so I can’t report on how it was. I blame Flip though because as you may have heard, I ordered a Flip UltraHD camcorder but ended up getting the wrong one! After a nightmare experience with Flip’s customer service, I was left without my UltraHD to cover the event. But I don’t think I would’ve been able to go anyway because I had a “first” to scratch off.
The NFL season officially began last night with the first pre-season game featuring my Dallas Cowboys and come bungles from Cincinatti. The Cowboys ended up winning although I didn’t watch much of it. It’s pre-season, Dez Bryant wasn’t playing and I just wasn’t interested in seeing the starters play for a series. Roy Uno Uno is still trash by the way.
Anyway, I hope you guys and girls had a good weekend. Welcome to Monday and welcome to another week!
How on Earth do I come up with this headline? It was a pretty good weekend for me that left me wanting to taste a lot of Big Red bubble gum but that’s an inside thing that you guys will never know about. Outside of the Big Red gum, my weekend was a little meh. I didn’t see any movie and I didn’t get to help BPD 007 and his Achievement whoring.
Anyway, I’ll be in Los Angeles this month checking out the latest WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 from THQ. I’m excited about that because there is a really special treat involved that my brand new Flip UltraHD will capture just for you.
For those of you who are into id Software, tournaments, Fallout: New Vegas and Brink, QuakeCon is coming to Dallas to highlight all of those things. I plan to be there and I plan to try and get some interviews/hand’s on time with some of the games they’ll have.
If you have any requests for QuakeCon, let me know and I’ll try to dig it up.
