We’ll be live at the Halo 3 Launch Party in Dallas right here! The chat will be open as well. I don’t expect a huge turnout but one or two of you is plenty.  Join in when the coverage begins!

There is some exclusive Halo 3 Marketplace content coming over the next few days and it’s exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members only.  The content will include themes, videos, gamerpics and more and will run from September 25 thru September 30.  It will be free which makes it that much sweeter.

The only way to access this free content is via the banner ads in the dashboard during the Unite to Fight campaign.  Simply select the ad and you’ll gain access to the content.  Silver members can begin crying now.

The first of this exclusive content will debut tonight at midnight and it includes a theme and gamerpic.  And yes, I’ve asked about those of you who are Gold yet can’t access ads in the Marketplace.  I’ll update this when I get word on that.  Here’s the ad you need to click in order to access the content.  (image via Gamescoreblog)

I was invited to attend along with a few other people throughout the community.  It should be a lot of fun.  The live broadcast will go throughout the event and I hope it’s entertaining enough for those sticking around to watch it.

Ok, so those of you who have managed to get Halo 3 early may have escaped being banned from Xbox Live but it appears that there’s another form of punishment for you.  No one will be able to show their unlocked Achievements to the world until Halo 3 officially launches.  That’s right.  They’ve put the golden lock on your Achievements being displayed!  Players have made mention of it and noticed that although they’ve unlocked Halo 3 Achievements, they don’t appear on their Gamercards.  It’s not the punishment many expected, but it’s something to slap the hands of those playing it early I suppose.

Does this matter to those playing right now?  I would assume it doesn’t.  But for those of you who wanted to proudly display those unlocked Halo 3 Achievements, you’ll have to wait until the rest of us can display them too.  Achievement Lockdown.

Yeeaaaah!  My ace CJ and the Konsole Kingz crew held it down recently in Atlanta, GA by teaming up with Microsoft and plenty of hip-hop’s stars to host a preview party for Halo 3.

Konsole Kingz brought some of the top names in hip-hop - Lil’ Jon, E-40, Ying Yang Twins, Lil’ Scrappy, Fabo of D4L, Bonecrusher, Bobby Valentino, Ike Dirty, Playaz Circle, Rasheeda and Khujo Goodie, to be one of the first to preview the biggest entertainment release of the year, Halo 3, which is expected to reach close to $200 million in FIRST DAY sales when launched on September 25th.

Halo 3

I sometimes get a few things that are worthy of the Bag & Swag treatment and this one is pretty cool.  I’m a big Slurpee guy so it may be a bit more special to me than it is to the others who have gotten this.  The Halo 3 media madness continues with the Halo 3 Game Fuel Kit courtesy of the boys and girls from Microsoft.  Hey don’t hate me, hate the game.  If you haven’t seen these in stores, the cups are really cool and the game fuel bottle has a nice design.  I’m not sure how it tastes but I’ve heard it’ll keep you up all night.  Dora the Explorer likes it.  (you’ll see what I’m talking about)  There’s also a T-shirt inside that’s designed nicely as well.

As we all prepare for arguably the most anticipated day in videogame history, I want to share with you some interesting facts surrounding Halo.  When I read these facts and numbers, I was in a state of open-mouthness.  (that means I was in shock) I couldn’t believe it.  Most impressive this franchise has been.

There’s something going on in Dallas on September 24th and it has a little to do with a game called Halo 3.  I wanted to invite the readers and listeners in the area to attend this event with me.  If you want a chance to play Halo 3 before anyone else and you live in the Dallas area, get in touch with me so I can see about getting you to the event.

It should be a lot of fun and you just might win something while enjoying some community fun with myself and others.  So send me a message, post or email and I’ll try to get you on the list.  It’s an invite only event.  I must warn you though that due to my current 360-less status, I will be a tad bit greedy when it comes to playing.

Halo 3

There’s a hero in all of us isn’t there?  If not, don’t worry because Master Chief is on the job.  Believe.  That’s the latest media campaign for the phenomenon that is Halo 3.   Just yesterday the Museum video was released telling the story of soldiers, war and Master Chief himself in the Battle for New Mombasa.  It was a beautifully crafted video that finally gave me the buzz I’ve been waiting for when thinking about Halo 3.  It told me a story that left me wanting more.  I Believe.

Halo 3

With this short video, Halo 3 has now gone well beyond being a simple game.  It is a victory.  It is a triumph.  It is tale to be shared over camp fires and marshmallows now.  It is a story of a hero.  I Believe.  Tomorrow at 10AM PST, a new entry will be shown and I expect to do what I did yesterday but perhaps even more.  I will Believe.  Will you?
