Get ready to take Kilo Squad along for a ride. It looks like Baird is front and center in the new Gears of War game from Epic Games and People Can Fly. Here’s the first trailer for the game.
Take on the Locust Horde, Lambent and all things Gears of War!
I knew Epic Games had something up their sleeves for E3 this year. I predicted this several days ago in my E3 predictions article so take that analysts! I’ve actually predicted quite a few things so yeah, I’m awesome!
Anyway, Epic Games is planning a prequel to Gears of War and it’s set to be revealed at E3 and the next issue of Game Informer. The game is supposedly called Gears of War: Judgement and from the looks of it there will be no Marcus Fenix. I’m sure there will be though because what’s a Gears of War game without Fenix?
But then again considering the fact that developer People Can Fly is behind the title, maybe Epic Games doesn’t want Marcus in it. You remember People Can Fly don’t you? They’re the guys and girls behind Bulletstorm. I didn’t really care much for Bulletstorm and to be honest my excitement for this prequel just got a little less.
Whether or not People Can Fly do justice to the Gears universe isn’t the only question. How will they approach the game without Marcus Fenix being front and center. It’s said to follow the path of Kilo Squad with Baird and Cole. Some leaked info from the Game Informer article speak of classes in the game. There will be an Engineer, Medic, Scout and Soldier class. Liking the sound of it?
The thing about pending reveals is that the speculation can never be 100% accurate so take these details with a grain of salt. At any rate, are you ready for more Gears of War action?
Today is Friday and I have some goodies for you. The last of Epic Games’ content for Gears of War 3 is up for grabs. One of you lucky Gears of War 3 players will be able to join me in some Forces of Nature action. Why spend 800 Microsoft Points when you can win it here at Unscripted 360?!
The Forces of Nature DLC comes with more maps, characters and weapon skins. You can get all the details on the content right here. I really like the Artillery map … it’s my favorite so far. There are even more Achievements to get.
How do I become a force?
It’s pretty easy. All you have to do is comment below or send me a message on Xbox Live and I’ll pick a winner this weekend.
Are you ready to head back to COG TOWN with me next week? The Forces of Nature DLC is dropping with new maps, new skins and new characters. Epic Games just released a look at the new weapon skins that you’ll have access to next week. You’ll get five of the weapon skins immediately and two of them you’ll have to unlock.
Take a look. You can also read up on the maps that you’ll be playing on with the Forces of Nature DLC right here.
COG TOWN BABY! Epic Games and Microsoft have slashed prices on a few content pieces for Gears of War 3 including the RAAM’s Shadow mission pack. It was originally priced at 1200 Microsoft Points but now it’s only 800.
Not only is that on the plate, you can also get the Horde Command Pack cheaper this week plus a few more items.
This is it boys and girls. The last of the promised four pack of awesomeness from Epic Games has finally been revealed. Gears of War 3 Season Pass owners this is your final curtain call for free DLC and it’s called Forces of Nature.
The new content comes packed with new maps, characters and weapon skins. It does not include any additions to the campaign unfortunately. It’ll be released on March 27 barring any delays. What’s cool about the new DLC is that you’ll be able to find a few Easter eggs. There are four special weapons hidden in the maps (not sure which) called Elemental Cleavers. Find these, get 25 kills with them in Horde or Beast and you’ll get yourself some Achievements.
Did Epic go out with a bang? You decide after reading what’s in the Forces of Nature DLC below.
