Holy gimme this game right now Batman! Glen Schofield, Executive Producer on Dead Space, is back with more on the game. The new video details “Strategic Dismemberment” and yeah, it means exactly what it implies. The video showcases a pretty interesting way you’ll have to take out the enemies in the game. It’s really disturbing yet satisfying. I want to be scared out of my shorts on this one and it looks like EA is aiming to do just that.
I must point out though that the best part about Dead Space so far in my own little personal opinion HAS to be the weapon and how it’s designed. Check out the little ammo visor on the gun! It’s dead sexy. I love it long time. One of the keys to a 3rd person action game is how your character fits and feels in the environment. The suit, the weapon, the helmet…it’s all pretty kick ass so far. I got $5 on a Dead Space pre-order right now. This game is going to bring new meaning to slice & dice.

EA Sports launched the official site for NBA Live 09 today and with it came a few details on their next NBA offering. Line Producer, Brian Ullrich, has a blog with information on the new NBA Academy, QuickStrike Ankle-breakers, Pick and Roll Control, and Signature Play Calling. He also mentioned the inclusion of a new cloth simulation in NBA Live 09 that I expect will melt your faces. Perhaps it won’t be that dramatic but it should be interesting to see nontheless.
“It’s a huge new practice facility where you can shoot around with your teammates, work on your game, and play skill-based games to get better and learn how to use all the new gameplay features,” Brian said when speaking about NBA Academy.
I know I might be in the minority of people who actually prefer NBA Live to NBA 2K but oh well. It’s my party and I can prefer Live if I want to. Head over and keep up to date with other producers on Live 09 at the official site. I hope they make Dirk unstoppable!

There’s one thing you need to know about Battlefield: Bad Company and the folks at DICE. It packs a large humorous punch. Every video from the game has been hilarious. The latest commercial seen on TV is fantastic but it just might have been trumped by “Snake Eyes”. I’m ready for June 25th!
Sweetwater and the boys stumble upon what appears to be a barrel that a certain eye-patch wearing character is hiding. Total humor follows. Check it out. Thanks for the tip Carbon…this was classic.

When I first heard about Spore, I didn’t think much of it. It really wasn’t something I could see myself getting into so I made the mistake of not devoting much time following it. Notice how I said mistake. Last night I downloaded the Spore Creature Creator and began creating my very own weird creature in the Spore universe. The next thing I knew, 4 hours had gone by. I can’t begin to explain how much fun I had adding eyes, claws, legs and all kinds of things to my creature.
The possibilities are pretty endless with your creature. You have to account for how it will eat, smell, mate and behave among other things. They should make this game for consoles but it’s only for PC/Mac. If you want to get in on the creature-creating action to get your Spore appetite going, then head over and download the trial for the Spore Creature Creator. It’ll introduce you to the Spore universe before the full game ships in September.
