Don’t forget to tune in and listen to opinions of those who managed to attend the show.  And as always, get your crayons out for some live community interaction!

It’s finally here.  Yes it was supposed to be here a few weeks ago if you remember Episode #39, but hey it’s here now.  Head out to the Xbox Live Marketplace and step up to bat.  I’ve been enjoying The BIGS and I’m not a baseball fan so that says a lot about the game.

During the Xbox Live Arcade presentation of the Microsoft press conference, I saw this little gem.  I had to do a double take as I couldn’t believe it was an Xbox Live Arcade title.  Ubisoft and Third Wave Games are set to bring this soon.  I can’t wait.  I prefer original titles on XBLA and War World is looking great.

War World

During the Sony press conference today, it was announced that SCEA, Midway and Epic have entered into a deal with Epic for Unreal Tournament 3 to be exclusive to the PS3 console.  It looks like the PC and PS3 will be the only options to get your Unreal fix.  (at least until the timed exclusive deal runs out)

Midway

“We feel very confident that Unreal Tournament 3 will continue to deliver on Epic’s promise to gamers to develop only the highest quality titles using our cutting-edge Unreal Engine 3 technology,” said Mark Rein, vice president and co-founder, Epic Games. “The game takes full advantage of the power of the PLAYSTATION 3 system, and Unreal Tournament 3 will for the first time allow users to create robust user created content, known as “mods”, on the PC version and play them on the PLAYSTATION 3 system. We’re extremely excited about this and we feel this will bring a level of creativity, innovation and replayability not previously seen on home consoles.”

This is actually one of the more interesting things coming out of Microsoft’s press conference at E3 this year.

“Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action” brings gamers together with friends and family for a casual trivia game that they all can play and enjoy. Using the simple and intuitive Big Button Controller, players can challenge their friends to see whose movie knowledge reigns supreme, with real content from their favorite movies and actors.

It has new movies, puzzle challenges, 18,00 new questions and multiplayer action in the Xbox 360 version.   It will ship with four new wireless Big Button Controllers, so each gamer has his or her own buzzer.   It’s also in high defintion (HD).  And it promises to have miminal repeats with its questions so players rarely get the same question twice.

I’m really ready to play something like this on my Xbox 360.  It’s coming Holiday 2007 for $59.99.

Well it seems like the response that many of us thought would highlight Microsoft’s E3 2007 won’t happen at all.  In a report today, news came down that there is no plan to offer a new pricing scheme for the Xbox 360.

“We have no desire, no need, to react to anything the competition has done,” Shane Kim, head of Microsoft Games Studios, said in an interview.  “We feel really great about the Xbox 360 momentum right now. Customers are voting with their wallets, it’s not just about console units. We feel great about how we’re doing.”

Well I’m a bit disappointed.  I’m not sure how the goal of topping both the Wii and PS3 is going to be accomplished without an adjustment to get more casual consumers in.  Yes, it’s about the software but the hardware that it’s played on has to be attractive to more than just a hardcore audience.

And Mr. Kim is right saying that customers are voting with their wallets as the Nintendo Wii continues to outpace the Xbox 360.  You don’t think that’s because of the awesome titles the Wii has do you?

Get ready to take to the skies with Namco Bandai’s latest, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation.  The Bringing It Home campaign continues with a demo of Ace Combat 6 now available in the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Keep your eyes on the Marketplace as each day during E3 new content becomes available!

It looks like the Xbox 360 is going a bit festive with its color arrangement later in the year.  The Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers will be available in new colors.  Gamers can express their identity with new pink, dark blue and light blue Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers. These new colors will be available in October. ERP $49.99 (U.S.).

Also, the Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console features an authentic Spartan green/gold finish and comes with matching Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, 20GB Hard Drive, Headset, Play & Charge Kit, HDMI port and exclusive “Halo 3″ Gamer Pics and Theme available via Xbox LIVE download. Available in September.
