How dirty can you get?  That’s what you’ll have the chance to find out as Codemasters delivers a demo of their upcoming racer, DiRT, to the Xbox Live Marketplace.  Head out and get your dirty hands on this dirty demo!  (ok, enough use of the word dirty lol)

There’s going to be a lot of Codemasters love on the Xbox 360 this year.  None may be more entertaining than HEI$T.  HEI$T has gamers taking charge of a group of renegade criminals as they rob, steal and shoot their way throughout the city, all the while their sights set on the big score: taking the San Francisco Mint.

Doesn’t that afro look pimplicious?

In addition to knocking off banks, each with their own set security precautions, throughout the city, players will be highly motivated to pull off further jobs. These include raiding bars, restaurants, strip clubs, armoured cars, and more in order to acquire the bigger and better tools needed to penetrate the increasingly more difficult banks.

HEI$T

“We designed HEI$T so that players feel like a part of the best robberies and car chases from classic movies,” states Maxx Kaufman, Creative Director at inXile Entertainment. “Everything from the different types of jobs to pull and the reckless pursuits by the police through the streets of San Francisco, to the sarcastic banter back and forth between the members of the crew, gives HEI$T the action and style of the great attitude and rock-driven films of the 60’s.”

You can expect to pull of your own hei$t later this year.

The Xbox 360 is about to get its first taste of rally racing with DiRT from Codemasters.  You’ve seen the first trailer already and now here’s a shot of the box art as well as some additional screenshots.  This June we’ll all be getting a bit dirtier with our Xbox 360 consoles.  This is the US cover for the game.  There’s a nice one for the European crowd and I have a screenshot of that for you.  It’s of the PS3 version of the game but still, check it out here to decide which cover is better.

One thing I did notice when looking at the different packaging was that “Colin McRae” isn’t listed on the US version of the game.  Why is that and does it make any difference?  Probably not.  It’s just something I thought I’d point out.

Codemasters really wants to scare the soul out of every Xbox 360 owner this Fall it seems.  Jericho deals with the mysterious reappearance of a lost city in a remote desert.  When a form of evil that goes right back to the dawn of days resurfaces from there, a Special Forces squad, trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts, is sent in.  Their mission: Hunt down and destroy the evil that lurks at the heart of the city before it destroys humanity.

Jericho

Take a look at the package art for the game and a few screenshots from last week’s UK Press Event, Code07.  There are also images of the characters in the game you see in the latest trailer.  There’s a character named Cole and no it’s not a 300 pound brute.  Cole is a lady in Jericho.  And yes I’m officially afraid of this game (in a good way).

You’ve seen a few screenshots already.  Strap yourself in for an incredible ride as Codemasters premieres the first trailer for DiRT!  Opening with death-defying cliff-edge cornering on Pikes Peak, one of the breathtaking all-new Hill Climb events in DiRT, the video trails the bump and grind of buggy racing, and also reveals Colin McRae’s very own prototype performance car, the R4, in a dramatic crash sequence.

Created using in-game vehicle and environmental models, this is just a first taste of the exhilaration DiRT promises to deliver when it launches in June for the Xbox 360.  (also available for PC in June, PS3 shortly thereafter)  Continue on for the trailer…

I know plenty of you are looking for the Xbox 360’s answer to Motorstorm so you may be pleased to know that you will be playing some form of gritty, muddy, off-road racing soon.  Colin McRae: DIRT adds aggressive 10-vehicle C.O.R.R. races to its intense mix.

Coming this June for the Xbox 360 and PC, Colin McRae: DIRT will now add races from the U.S. based C.O.R.R. (Championship Off-Road Racing) series to its already heady mix of Rally, Hill Climb, Rally Raid, Rally Cross and Crossover events.  C.O.R.R. events see up to 10 drivers going head-to-head in fierce dirt circuit races. The combination of aggressive competition in powerful off-road vehicles, including Super Buggies and Pro 4 Trucks, and tracks packed with tabletop jumps, drop-offs and moguls makes for an intoxicating mix.

Are you excited?  Or are you scratching your head wondering where Rallisport Challenge for the Xbox 360 is?  Well, I’m ready to get dirty with this title.  I need some off-road chaos in my 360 life.  Stay tuned for more on this game as its release date approaches.

Codemasters released a new trailer for its upcoming Xbox 360 and PC title, Overlord.  I’m not too sure what to think except…it’s crazy.  (and that’s a refreshing thing)  I can’t help but feel like watching Gremlins now.  Overlord is a game that gives players hordes of evil, gremlin-like critters and a peaceful land for them to reek havoc on.  Created by Triumph Studios, Overlord is set to ship this summer for the Xbox 360 and the PC.

In Overlord, the minions constitute the evil Overlord’s army and are the key gameplay mechanic.  Completely and utterly loyal to him, minions will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and even die for their master.  Their loyalty knows no limits and their bravery borders on stupidity, but with every bone in their odd little bodies, the minions will follow players’ commands no matter how despotic or life threatening they are.

I don’t know if many of you remember this freakish little title slated for the Xbox 360 and PS3 this fall.  I came home to some media today and it included this amazing new trailer.  Watch it only if you can handle it!

Codemasters today releases the full length Clive Barker’s Jericho “Crusader” trailer set to terrify and pleasure gamers and horror fanatics alike.  Created from an original concept and story, Clive Barker’s Jericho promises an overload of sensory horror shock as players journey through hellish locations and slices of time.  An action/horror FPS, the ‘Jericho’ of the title refers to the Jericho Team, a seven-person strike force that protects government interests from paranormal threats.  Trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts, each Jericho Team member is an expert in different para-psychological disciplines, including clairvoyance, alchemy, blood magic and exorcism.
