If you’ve been waiting on a reason to pick up Army of Two beyond my outstanding review of it, then today is your lucky day.  A demo for EA’s Army of Two is up in the Xbox Live Marketplace for you to try so head out and get some Aggro!

Army of Two

Army of Two Producer Q&A with EA Montreal.  Most of you have read my review of Army of Two and it turned out to be a review that received some amazing feedback.

“Your review should be the benchmark for this game because it’s objective, and puts the game in perspective from a Gamers point of view.” - Bumble14

Now I have even more of the coverage you love.  I had a chance to submit a Q&A to EA Montreal made up of community questions about Army of Two.  I took all the Aggro for the Q&A so that you all could relax and simply read.   And here are the groovy results.

Rating Guide: How I Review Games

Review:

Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem work for the Security & Strategy Corporation (SSC).  They’re a team of Private Military Contractors with a money comes first golden rule.  But as the saying goes, the more money you have…then the more problems you have and that’s just where the fun begins in Army of Two.

I had the opportunity to play Army of Two a little early courtesy of my friends at EA Montreal.  It’s no secret that I’ve been eagerly anticipating Army of Two since seeing it at EA’s Studio Showcase.  It was fun being at the top of the AOT Leaderboard for a small time I must say.  But what kind of gamer would I be if I kept to myself and not shared my opinions?  So on that note, let me hit you with how Army of Two stacks up.

EA is gearing up for Army of Two finally.  I’m happy about that because I’ve had high hopes for it when it was first announced and especially since seeing it last year at EA’s Studio Showcase.  Combat, Comaraderie and Cash.  The cinematic trailers have always been great on this game and I just hope that they can capture an ounce of how good the video media is and translate that to the game.  It ran into some trouble a few months ago but it seems like EA is ready to roll with it now.  Let’s hope for the best with the strange mix of humor and ass kickin’ it has.

I received a delivery from Electronic Arts in my email inbox today.  I was very pleased to see what it was.  It was a new Army of Two video.  Media on this game has been almost non-existent so it’s good to get new media on such a highly anticipated title.  It is, afterall, the first new IP (Intellectual Property) from EA in quite some time.

So enjoy the new trailer of Army of Two and its emphasis on teamwork.  I’m loving the humor that this game is aiming to include.  For those of you unaware of this title, be sure to check out U360’s previous coverage of Army of Two.

What will the year 2007 bring for Xbox 360 fans?  Will there be another 3 million title seller this year as there was with 2006’s Untouchable of the Year winner, Gears of War?

I’ll give you a rundown of my 11 most anticipated releases this year.  If you’re an Xbox 360 owner, then you’re in for a treat in 2007.  If you’re not, then you should head out to the nearest retail store and hop on the train!

Halo 3 - With news circulating about the public beta of Halo 3, I believe the ball is just starting to roll with Halo 3 mania.  What will the Master Chief aim to do in what has been billed as his final chapter?  New weapons.  New vehicles.  It’s the story of Halo with the power of the 360 behind it and it will surely be a sight to see and an event to play.  And I know everyone is itching to find out about this ‘X’ button that changes the way we play right?

BioShock - It was a dark, lonely night when I downloaded the BioShock trailer from X06.  Since then, I’ve been counting the days until I would have the chance to play this underwater epic.  2K has already gone on record saying their focus is completely on delivering an outstanding single campaign/story.  It better be one hell of a story to please all the multiplayer heads out there who won’t get to go head up against anyone on Xbox Live.

Today I received some new screenshots of EA’s Army of Two including what seems to be a look at the split screen and reviving that will go on in the game.

Back @ E3 last May, EA unveiled a highly ambitious project.  That project was Army of Two…a new IP (Intellectual Property) from EA Montreal that had the media drooling at the mouth from what little was shown of it.  It’s not everyday that EA unveils a new IP so this was something to pay attention to.

EGM has a special edition preview of the game in their recent magazine release due to hit stores tomorrow, July 18.  But I wanted to give you the scoop early.  You can head over to the official site tomorrow as well as it will release the same day.

I just finished reading the preview and the game sounds interesting to say the least.  Co-op combat may never be the same after this game!  Army of Two is built to be played only one way….Cooperatively!  In fact, in the article Senior Producer, Reid Schneider says that you should not be able to complete the game just doing your own thing and if you do, then they have failed.  The story centers around 2 contractors in a private military corporation (PMC) out to make some money…or the bling.  The word around town is not to confuse these ‘contractors’ as mercenaries or there will be hell to pay.
