Ryse and Forza Motorsport will be native 1080p on Xbox One (updated)

Good news for all of you high resolution and big screen TV fans. I’ve confirmed that at least two of the Xbox One’s launch games will be native 1080p. Forza Motorsport 5 and Ryse: Son of Rome will be native 1080p on the Xbox One. You can check Aaron Greenberg’s (Chief of Staff for Devices and Studios Group at Microsoft) response to my original question below.

[Update] – Aaron Greenberg returned today with an update to the 1080p question in regards to Ryse.

  5. oh Astrid .. you know the power of the Velvet lol

  6. lol he can only speak for their games? So RYSE is being made by Crytek, but it’s a Microsoft IP… Funny that he doesn’t mention KILLER INSTINCT because that also is a Microsoft owned IP, yet no talk of it being Native 1080P.

RYSE also has some of the worst animations ever created. Knowing Crytek, it’s more of a tech demo to look pretty than a game.

  7. […] Son of Rome runs at 900p before being upscaled to 1080p. That’s according to tweets collected by Unscripted360 from Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg. So, it’s not as if the Xbox One can’t run any games at that […]
