Sony says, you first Microsoft
If you ain’t first, you’re last. Who came first? The chicken or the egg? Okay enough with that … I read an interesting story this morning about Sony’s CEO Kazuo Hirai saying that they’ll let Microsoft make the first move again.

It’s a rather short exert from an interview but it gets to the point. Why allow yourself to go first when the competition can look at your specs and make better adjustment? That’s his theory when it comes to who goes first in the next generation of consoles.
Does it matter to you if a console is first out of the gate?

In my opinion this is a loser move. It’s literally the same strategy they tried last time and resulted in a loss to Nintendo for units moved, a loss to MS in number of subscribers using their service, and a loss to plan .AVI and media streaming in terms of introducing streaming formats. They don’t need better hardware, they need better managers.
