Black Ops 2 crosses the $1 billion mark in 15 days
I guess it’s safe to say that Call of Duty fanboys rule the world eh? Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has crossed the $1 billion mark in just 15 days! ONE BILLION DOLLARS! It’s not unusual for the franchise but everytime I read it I just cringe at how much money Activision is taking in to produce a game that has minimal improvement from year to year.

“The release of Call of Duty® has been one of the most significant entertainment events of each of the last six years,” said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. “Since Call of Duty was launched, cumulative franchise revenues from players around the world are greater than current worldwide box office receipts to date for the top-10 grossing films of 2012 combined. Life-to-date sales for the Call of Duty franchise have exceeded worldwide theatrical box office receipts for ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Star Wars,’ the two most successful movie franchises of all time.”
What say you? Did your $60 count towards the billion? And I’d like to point out that I’m sick of Activision comparing Call of Duty sales to Harry Potter, Avatar, Star Wars and any other movie out there. We get it … the game has sold a lot but to suggest it is on par with film as it pertains to sales and influence is dumb to me.
One purchased game of Call of Duty equals roughly 10 movie tickets assuming it’s still about $6 per movie ticket. So there are millions more people enjoying movies than your video game despite what your pockets might suggest.

Kotick = leader of the sheep. Madden Ops may be worth a look this year as there have been some single player improvements to the story, pace and gameplay. Verdict is nothing more than a rental, unless you are a multiplayer junkie. If your are a mp maniac then your 60 dollars worth should be just about over as by now the cheaters have once again figured out how to cheat.. Read about the giant lumbering radioactive bears and spawn camping multiple spawns with the assistance of those bears. Sorry not interested but if it’s your thing have fun..

What make gamers fanboys if they picked up Black Ops 2? I got it and there are improvements but its typical Call of Duty so people know what to expect. No one has said anything about the Halo fanboys, Borderlands 2 fanboys, etc. If Black Ops 2 wasn’t making all that dough no one would care. But for those who aren’t big on multi-player, Black Ops 2 isn’t the game for you.

because fanboys refuse to point out anything wrong with a game or console . Blops 2 isn’t the greatest gave EVAR but you guys think it is.

I don’t think its the greatest game ever but it’s fun to play. Plus it helps to explore all the features of the Black Ops 2 and not just one mode (Deacon) to just say it sucks.
